Chapter 9

After I got to the first apartment it was the one. I went with. It was exactly what I wanted and what I needed.   I got in my car and waited for Zay to come back to the car which he did shortly. He still had my phone and was still looking through it. I wasn't gone ask for it back because I know he gone say no. So I drove to Jai's house.

When I went to his house Emy was there and they were just chillin. I had a seat.

"What you do today?" Emy asked
I just shook my head. For some reason I wasn't really in the mood to talk I just wanted to chill.

So maybe a hour passed and I was kinda dozing off. Then there was a knock at the door. Jai looked at me and I looked at Emy then Emy rolled her eyes and got up to answer the door. This ain't my house Jai shoulda been the one to get up. When Emy opened the door I saw say and Emy disnt say hi or nothing. I guess she figured that Zay did something to me. I wasn't mad at him he was mad at me and I didn't care. I was laying on the small couch and I wasnt planning on moving. Zay was looking confused on where he would sit so Emy have up her spot and sat on me. I wasn't in the mood to push her off.

"What you do to her?" Emy said in her thick accent

"Nothing." He said and threw my phone at me. He lucky it didn't hit me or I woulda beat his ass.

"Emy I gotta new apartment  wanna come pick out furniture with me?" I asked

"Yeah come on." She got up and so did I 

I didn't say nothing to say or Jai. I grabbed my shit and left. We got in my car and drove to some store.

"What happened with y'all?" Emy asked

"Nothing he got mad that I wasnt talking to him and then took my phone from me." 

She nodded then we kept shopping. I picked out a grey suede love seat and sofa. I got some end tables and a coffee table. Some lamps, pillows and some other things.
