So i accidentally didnt update all of ch.6 so here's the rest of it!

She nods, appearing to be content with the answer.

“Oh, Uhm, about your dad's sweatsh-” “you can keep it, he doesn't wear it anyway,” Millie giggles softly.

Nodding, I drum my fingers on the table and adjust my collar. Unable to think of anything to talk about, I begin to stress. Thankfully, a tall, lanky man walks over to our booth and hands us both menus.

"Hey, I'm Joe and I'll be your waiter this fine evening. May I get you two any drinks?"

"I'll take a lemonade," Millie says cheerfully.

Joe mumbles slightly as he jots down her drink on his notepad.

"And you sir?"

"I'll get what she's having," I smirk.

Joe winks at us then heads towards the kitchen to get our lemonades.

"Have you decided what you want to get? I'm paying, my treat."

Her face lights up.

"Oh, it's ok Finn. You don't have to."

"I know, but I'd like to."

She blushes slightly and casts her attention downwards to inspect her nails. Woah woah WOAH. Wait, did she just blush at something I said? This is crazy, this is insane, this is unfathomable. Am I still breathing? I'm interrupted by Joe setting down our drinks with a light clink. "Have you decided on anything food wise?" He asks, arching a bushy, brown eyebrow.

"I'll take a Caesar salad," me and Millie say in sync, causing Joe to chuckle.

"Okay lovebirds, coming right up."

To my surprise, Millie just thanks him. She doesn't even correct him! Is this a sign? Does she like me?

"What do you like to do?"

She blinks at me, her delicate eyelashes fluttering.

"I like to play guitar," think Finn, what else do you do that's even slightly cool?

"I also write songs," I admit bashfully. "Really? How cool."

I chew on the inside of my cheek.

"How about you?"

She taps her fingers lightly.

"I like photography, reading, simple things."

I look over at Millie and catch her stare. I think my heart just jumped into my throat. Noticing she has a gleeful look on her face, I wonder if she's as happy as I am right now.
