Yes i know, over a month since i updated... Im a terrible person.. Anyways new part!

"...Here's your salads! If you need anything else, just let me know," Joe gives us a salute accompanied by a quirky smile while walking away.

Me and Millie have just finished eating and, to my knowledge, this date is going pretty good. Pulling my wallet out of my pocket, I leave a fifteen dollar tip on the table for Joe, he really deserves it. Taking Millie's hand, I gingerly lead her outside. The stars shine overhead brightly in the indigo sky while we're walking to her house in silence. Suddenly, she interlocks her fingers with mine and I involuntarily freeze, unable to comprehend the warm, fuzzy feeling ripping through my chest.

Now, if you would've asked me a year ago to picture myself holding hands with Millie Bobby Brown, I would've lost my mind. Thank God I'm able to keep myself sane.

"Finn? We're here."

I was so deep in thought I didn't even realize we reached her house. I look down at our still intertwined hands, not quite ready to let go yet.

"Millie?" I say quietly, glancing back up at her face.

I notice she's already staring at me. Is there something on my face? She sits there, slowly leaning towards me in a hesitated way. Should I lean forward too? I'm about to close my eyes and get closer when hers grow wide with shock.

"My cardigan! I left it at Connie's," she groans and face-palms, leaving me to stand there numbly.

"I..I can go back and get it for you." "Really? Thank you Finn! You can bring it to me later tonight or tomorrow, it's up to you."

I rub the back of my neck, trying to focus, which is pretty hard when Millie’s standing as close as she is.

"T..tonight? Isn't it a little late?"

She taps her cheek for a moment.

"Well, yeah, I guess. But you could just sneak through my window then leave," she shrugs.

My breath hitches in my throat. Breathe Finn, you idiot.

"M..me? In y..your house? You sure?" "Yeah, I mean, I don't see any problems, do you?"
