a heartiful talk
always helps.
and that is what
ej and tara
have learned
in this cold,
rainy evening.
his sisters
haven't stopped
eavesdropping
on him
and giggling,
already betting
that they are
secretly dating.

but behind the
closed doors,
secrets are being
r e v e a l e d :

"my dad doesn't
treat my mother well,"
says tara quietly,
as if she wishes
she wasn't born
in the uley family.

of course she wishes.
if your father mistreats
your mother

that is when ej
realizes that
he is not
a l o n e ,
as he has previously
believed so.

"what do
we do?",
she is looking at him
so grievously.

he slowly smiles
at her.
"we leave
this place
and go find
h e a v e n ."
