Chapter 5: 'bye'

Its here.

The day I leave this town, this school, my best friends and most of all the memories. The thing is though we are leaving at like 7 pm

I was packed up and ready, with all of my stuff in the pick up truck ready to go, I just had to say goodbye to everyone.

All the guys walked up to me and without saying a word engulfed me into a huge hug. I nearly broke down then and there.

"I'm gonna miss you guys so much" I sniffled.

"Don't worry Al, we will come to see you every chance we can get" Andrew tried to cheer me up.

"Well with football and school that won't be alot" I said

"Just think of it this way-" Dylan said "-we are only one call away and there is always the odd weekend we don't have football matches"

"Yeah I guess you right" I said putting up a strong front for them.

"But promise me one thing" I said to them all

"Anything" Colby said

"That the tree house will only be ours forever"

"We wouldn't have it any other way" Eoin said.

"I seriously am not going to be able to cope without at least one of you guys around me 24/7" I said with a fresh batch of tears coming out to play.

"How do you think I feel with out having you around and only having these Bozo's?" Andrew said trying to lighten the mood.

I chuckled lightly.

"Come on Al, we need to go" I heard Darren call out to me.

"Bye guys" I said hugging them tighter han ever.

"Bye" they all said together.

I hoped into the back of the pick up truck to hold down the suit cases and looked at my four best friends for as long as I remember one last time before I went to my new house.

Darren started drive the truck with my mam beside him and Jacob in her lap. I waved to the guys and just as we were about to leave the street they started to chase the truck. Since they were all in pretty good shape they were not that far behind. Andrew reached his hand out to high five me, and once he did he started to slow down, but the other guys didn't causing them all to run into his back and fall into a big heap. I laughed hysterically at them before turning into the main road, but not before taking a picture of them all smiling because they managed to make me smile through my sadness.

I texted them all the picture saying,

This is gonna be hung up on my wall. You guys will never be replaced, I love you way too much to do that.

As soon as I sent it my phone blew up with texts from them all in the group chat.

Diabhal: girl you better not

Andrea: I know you won't Al

Dyl: honestly I don't care if you do.

Colby on a cob: come on Dylan we all know that is a lie, but we will miss you Al.

Dyl: shut up Colby I'm trying to hide my emotional state of mind that is killing me from the inside out because Alaska is leaving.

Queen of awesomeness (me) : honestly Dylan that was the most intelligent sentence you have ever said.

Diabhal: yeah that was way too weird.
