~3 days later~

Erik's POV

Tonight is the night I propose to Christine, I just hope that she likes the ring I got her. I came into the living room where she was and said "angel I have to go into town" she looked at me confused.

"But you just went to town 3 days ago love besides I miss you when you're gone." I smile at her and hugs her "I miss you terribly but I have to go get a few more things from town angel I'll be back soon." She hugged me tightly then looked up I kissed her softly and she whispered "try to get home fast my angel" I kiss her a little deeper "I'll try my love" with that I went out and mounted my horse and went on in.

I arrived just in time to the jewelers he looked up and said "I got your jewelry all ready and everything is paid off." I smile "great bring them out" he goes and brings them out and the ring looks beautiful but when I looked closely at it some diamonds were missing "sir there is a few diamonds" he looks at it then says "oh my gosh I'm so sorry sir..."

Great?! The one time I try to make sure everything is perfect it gets screwed up?! "How long will it be to fix them?!"He jumps a bit at my yell "it takes a day" EVERYTHING is now ruined?! "can you try and get them ready today?!" He nods "y-yes s-sir" I smile "great get it done please or give me some of my money back" he nods again "of course sir."

I leave and go after some type of cologne knowing I need more I search around and finds one called "Fathomless" hmm sounds girly but I opened up the bottle and to my surprising it smelt extremely good.

I soon go to the jewelers and is able to pick up the ring but it's so late. But I get up on my horse and goes on when I do I hear something behind me. "Hello?!" There's no answer just a rustle of leaves. I hear low growling and then it clicks. Wolves. Coyotes. I kick the horse and he starts running but the wolves catch up quickly.

Without warning they dig into my horses leg causing the horse to stop. Shit?! I curse as I go down I grab my gun and shoots in the air and the wolves run off. I walk over to my horse who is in no condition to ride anymore.

"WHY TONIGHT WHY TODAY?!?! WHAT DID I DO!!!!???" I scream into the night I get my horse and tries to walk him and he barley makes gets to 5 feet before falling over. I look around seeing there's no one coming I suppose I'm going to arrive late tonight or not at all tonight.

I try to go some more but the horse just gives up and I lay him down and goes on until I reach a decent motel I walk in and falls the managers give me a room for free I thank them.

Christine's POV

I go and get to the jewelers he gives me the ring no problem then I look closer and sees a chip I tell him "sir this is chipped" he looks at it and says "oops I'm so sorry we will get that fixed in no time"

Well that no time turned into 2 hours. I finally got my ring back and starts going home. The carriage stops I look out to see why and I see Erik's horse but no Erik. "Sir do you see the horses rider?!" He looks back and gets off looking around "no ma'am I'm sorry" my heart sank.

"NO THERE HAS TO BE A RIDER TO THAT HORSE?!?!!" He looks at me apologetically "I'm sorry ma'am you may check for yourself..." I get off and run to the dying horse searching everywhere. "No! No?! NO?! ERIK??!" The man says "ma'am did you know the rider?" I look up sadly bursting into tears.

"He was my fiancé.... I was going to give him the ring back... " I sink to my knees crying. "Erik where are you?! PLEASE BE ALIVE?!?!"

We go on I see a motel and says "stop I want to check here..." I walk up to the managers and goes up and says "did a man crawl in here?" They nod "did he have a mask on?" They nod again "where is his room?" They take me to the room and I knock and I hear my angels voice "who... is it?" I smile and says "angel it's me!"

I hear him rustling around then opens the door "ANGEL?!?!" I kiss him hard as he pulls me in leaning me against the door "I... thought you... were dead...when I saw your horse" I moan as his hands rub up and down my body "I thought so too... " he moans we finally break apart. "Don't ever do that again to me angel!" He smiles the starts kissing me again. " I'll try.."
