"You know, if Alithea and Elena don't get blood to heal them, they will die." Katherine clicks her tongue against the back of her teeth, "So," she drawls out.

"give me the moonstone, I'll get my witch to unseal this room, and you can go heal them." Katherine's red lips slightly pucker as she gave the Salvatore brothers ultimatum. "Or I'll slit my throat, and both of them can die."

Damon puffs out his chest, clenching his fists tight, his mouth pressed into a thin line, his teeth grinding against one another. Stefan's reaction was about the same.

Katherine raises one of her nestle trimmed eyebrows "So, get me the moonstone."

March 27th, 1820

Please Nick, don't tell my father, he will punish me."

Alithea gasps as her eyes went wide; She was back in that hallway outside the kitchen.

"Then, do tell Annabella; I did a check of your chamber, your bed wasn't slept in."

Alithea took several steps forward and stood behind the brown haired girl.

The kitchen was very different during this period, probably because the governor has power and money to get the best he can afford.

Alithea saw the glow of the candles through the kitchen, and the man, who Alithea assumed to be Nick, leaning against a counter nearest a closed wooden door.

He was extremely handsome; the orange glow of the flame lit up his face, allowing Alithea to have the opportunity to take him in.

He had soft fluffy looking brown hair. Could be a mix of blonde since his facial hair is on the lighter side. His face, his bone structure made Alithea blush. In wasn't chubby, in fact, it was lean, and his face made Alithea think he was sculpted to represent a Greek God. He was that attractive.

He stood tall and was wearing loose pants and a button up shirt that was only done up the lower half, revealing his chest.

"I can't say, but I wasn't doing anything wrong." Annabella whines as she walks closer to the older man, Alithea following quickly behind.

Nik lets out a sigh as he rubs his left hand against his forehead, his eyes closed tightly. "If you weren't doing anything wrong, why won't you tell me?"

Annabella's heart ached as she heard the worry, confusion, and anger in Nik's voice. "Then why won't you tell me!?" He shot out.

Trying to keep his voice at a lower level, "Alithea?"

Alithea felt shivers run through her spine at the sound of the her name, as did Annabella. Nik froze; the flame of the candles stood still. Time stood still.

All except Alithea.

Her name kalt in being called out, her body kept shaking, her mind kept blanking out, and the last thing she saw was another bright white light.

...

"Wake up." Alaric kept shaking the young lady's body to get a response, but nothing. Not a groan, a gasp, a yell, a whimper, no sobbing, no sniffing, nothing... and that frightened him.

Alaric's breathing hitched when he placed his hand on Alithea's neck.

There was no pulse.

Her heart wasn't beating.

He had no idea how many minutes had went by; blood kept pouring out, the bed was stained, and towels kept getting soaked, making Alaric apply new ones.
