Griffin is a mysterious figure that appeared one day. Appears to neither side with good or bad.

For one with such a unmistakable figure. Griffin manages to escape our attempts to capture her and bring her to justice.

Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans or Yuki -who belongs to BrittanyPaigeSummers- All I own is Griffin. I also don't own any of the videos and/or picture unless stated otherwise.

"You can run, Yuki, but you can't hide." Brother laughed.

"Help." I panted as I ran. "Help me"

"Run, Rabbit, Run, Rabbit, Run, Run, Run, Don't be afraid of the- Whoa!"

I felt two arms wrap around me and lift me into the air. "Hold on. I've got you." Said a woman's voice.

We went higher and higher and finally landed on a rooftop. I colapsed on my knees breathing heavily. I was never that good with heights.

"Are you alright?" Said the woman again. I looked at her she stood a bit taller than me.

She had giant wings and her silver eyes seemed to stare directly into my soul.

"My name is Griffin. You are?"

"I'm Yuki." I stutter.

She nodded. "We must get moving again. The five will soon be after the one who calls himself Blood. We must not stick around"

She pulled me up, on my feet. Then swept me off them. "I apologize. I must get us to safety."

Her wings spread out and with a few strong beats we were in the air and above the clouds.

I clung to her tightly afraid of falling. It was way too long before I felt us land. When we did I noticed we were in a cave, overlooking the whole city.

She hadn't put me down, instead carried me deeper into the cave into a side cave, which had a fire in it and a makeshift bed.

She placed me down on the bed and walked over to stoke the fire.

"You're safe." She said and shed her armor and weapons beside the exit to this side cave.

She turned her back on me and shed her weapons and protection. She was offering an olive branch of trust, and I didn't know whether to take it or snap it.

"Let's get you cleaned up." She left and came back with a bucket of water and a rag. She placed them at my feet and left again saying something about catching dinner, and that she would be back soon.

I could run, I could run now and never look back and Blood wouldn't ever be the wiser. I looked down at the water and rag, and cleaned my hands and face.

When I walked out of the room she had put me in I realized that there we're more rooms. I didn't go looking though. I went towards the moon light and found myself at the edge again.

It was beautiful. I could see everything from up here. I made my decision then. I would stay, at least for a while. I walked back in the cave and back into the room, and waited.
I guess I fell asleep waiting, because when I woke, Griffin was sitting in front of me with a plate of food. She held it out to me. I took it, and it was good. It wasn't poisoned and wasn't raw, it seemed like it was done perfectly.

I asked her if it was poison before I ate it, she told me bluntly that poisoning is a waste of good food.

She left me there once I was finished with an order to sleep. She took my plate, the bucket and rag, and left.

Griffin's Pov

I was confused about what to do. Sure I had taken care of the younger ones back home, but never like this.

Yuki seemed of age, yet also she didn't.

The Five seemed like good people. Intent on stopping the bad guys.. like the one who calls himself Brother Blood.

I just had one problem with The Five they didn't know when to stop. They didn't realize I was on their side. I got the innocents out of the way when they couldn't. For that they thought me like Blood.

They need to learn. I couldn't sit by peacefully as the world burned. Like my people are doing.

The day I left, The island lost a warrior, the people a friend, and the chief a daughter.

I was going to protect these people, as if they were my own.. no. They are my own.

This city has The Five to protect it, but who will protect them from The Five? The answer is me.

My whole life has been dedicated to my people. I did not abandon my people, I simply found new ones to serve.

I looked back at the cave where Yuki slept and knew I had to do something. I couldn't get close to her. I knew that if I did, then there would come a time when I would have to choose. 'The people or her'. I steeled myself for this and knew that once it was done I would have to leave. I'll stick around and keep peace.

If only for a little while.
