Chapter 39

Kendall's POV

"What happened? is my baby okay?!" i panicked "Whoa hey! hey baby girl.. relax and just take it easy" Jason smiled, i smiled back and laid down "The doctor said that our baby boy is perfectly fine, still very healthy and you got shot in the chest.. just missed the heart by millimetres but you should be up and walking in an hour or two, but they said once you wake up we can go. Jason kissed my forehead and helped me into a wheelchair and wheeled me to the front desk "Where's mum and dad and Aunt Gen and Uncle Jared and Misha?" i asked.

"They went back home an hour ago, i told them to go home and get some rest while i stay here with you because you've been out for a few hours now" he replied. We signed myself out and drove home "Can i tell you about it?" i blurt out "Yeah of course! i was gonna ask but i didn't want you to talk about it if it made you uncomfortable" Jason said, his eyes still focused on the road.

"That was him when the doorbell rang.. i went to close it but he stopped me and said he wanted to talk, so we were talking when he grabbed my throat really tight and got all defensive and mad saying that 'he and i are meant to be and he loves me and no one can love me but him.. he doesn't care if the baby's not his we are going to take care for this baby and love this baby just like any perfect family would' that's when he covered my mouth and quietly took me to my room and locked the door.." i took a deep breath in and out before continuing.

"i didn't dare scream out your name because of what he would've done to me, he took out a blindfold and tied it around my mouth as a gag and then he pulled out the gun.. he also tied my arms and legs to the bedposts..he held the gun to my head the whole time and no matter how many times i thrashed, no matter how many times i pleaded and cried for him to stop, it would come out muffled.. when he was done he untied me and ran out of the room, of course that was a lie he was hiding, before he threatened dad and pulled the trigger on me" i wiped all the tears away that were rolling down my face.

Jason held my hand in his and tightly squeezed it for reassurance. "Can i also ask... why did you take the bullet for him?" Jason questioned "I'd risk anything in the entire world for him.. and there is nothing in this world that can take him away from me" i sniffled. He caressed my hand and brought it up to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to it every so often making me crack a smile. As we walked through the front door dad was in the kitchen drinking a beer. He looked so scared, so worried. "Daddy!" i exclaimed and ran to him "Kiddo!" he breathed out and hugged me "Don't ever do that.. you had me scared as hell" he mumbled in my ear.

"I had to.. there is nothing in the world that can take you away from me.. i would risk my whole life for you and of course mum, JJ, the twins, Gen, Jared, Misha, Tom, Shep, Odette and Jason" i replied. He held me at arm's length and just looked deep into my eyes "Can i see?" he asked referring to my gunshot wound, i nodded and lifted the bandage to reveal a stitched gun wound that will definitely leave a scar. With Jason holding my left hand and dad holding my right hand we walked into the living room where everyone was wide awake especially JJ, Tom and Shep. Mum was the first to rush over to me and hugged me "Oh my god... i'm so glad your okay now"

Everyone hugged me being extra careful not to hurt me. "I am going to have a bath.. i want to clean off from earlier today but once i finish i'll come back and i'll tell you everything" Mum nodded and kissed my forehead and so did dad. I took Jason's hand and led him to the bathroom with me "I'm not in the mood to do anything but i just want you here with me" i say "Yes of course princess.. i wasn't planning on anything" Jason helped me out of my clothes and into the relaxing, warm water. He sat down on the floor next to me and we just talked.

Sometimes i would be the one talking and he would listen or it would be the other way around or it would be completely silent and we would enjoy each others company. "What happened with uh.. with Brad? i heard police sirens before i blacked out" i say "He's in jail.. sentenced 6 years and charged 4,000 dollars" he replied "Good.. very fucking good" i smiled. After my bath i changed into my pyjamas and we sat in the living room, cuddled in between dad and Jason. I told them everything that Brad did to me and later on in the night we all fell asleep on the couch together.
