Staying Alive

LAST TIME:

Suddenly, things were flying towards the table. Jason got hit on the head by a brick and above all of the chaos, Percy could be heard saying,

"It's New Rome all over again guys! Leo please don't blow up the hall!" Soon the new arrivals were laughing on the floor, even Reyna. Apart from Jason who was still recovering.

Over the next week, many students of Hogwarts saw the new arrivals covered in a mysterious golden dust. They later found out that this was the remains of monsters that had been terrorising the school. No one had known of the danger and yet, they had been saved anyway, by people who the knew next to nothing about.

On a suspiciously calm morning, Phoenix's phone rang with the theme song "Stayin' alive" and when he picked up, there was a short conversation and all the students could hear was,

"Another one? Your sister? Really, what is it with your family? Any other secret siblings your brother feels like keeping from us?" silence.

"Wait... Really? He's back? Again? And does he?..." silence.

"Oh come on! Okay, but you have to help me as well." A raised voice could be heard this time.

"Yes I'll help, I owe you that much. I get the point, he means a lot. Go back to your boyfriend Holmes." A sharp intake of breath could be heard, this time in the hall. The students turned to see Dumbledore shocked. Phoenix simply winked and finished his conversation.

"Was that who I think it was?" he asked.

"Well, wait a few days and you'll find out old man."

"But, my dear boy, if it is then we must take the proper precautions. You know as much as I do how picky he is."

"You knew him long ago. He has changed and he is a good friend of mine, he is not his brother Albus." Phoenix's tone was scathing and most shivered at the way he spoke to the headmaster. It seemed he held no respect for the man and spat out his name like it is poison. He then stood up and apparated out, even through the wards.

Murmurs spread through the hall like wildfire at the power of the man. Even Dumbledore couldn't apparate inside of the wards placed around the school, so just how powerful was this protector of theirs?

It was after another month before they saw him again and when they did, he was with two others who only seemed to know a few of the Phoenix. One was a taller man with a long coat, the collar turned up and cheekbones made of diamonds, they actually looked that sharp. His 'friend' was short in comparison to most in the hall, he had a ridiculous moustache and looked like a doctor. Both were very handsome but everyone could tell they liked each other, you could practically smell the denial.

AN: Sorry for the short chapter! The next one will be bigger though and I didn't want this one to be too big for you! Also my computer is broken so I've been having trouble updating. Next chapter will be ready soon!!
