LAST TIME:
Both were very handsome but everyone could tell they liked each other, you could practically smell the denial.
"Hello Mr Holmes, my name is Percy Jackson. As for the rest of you, I'd like to tell you something, I am a son of the greek god Poseidon."
"HA! You're too weak, I bet I could beat you at a fight right here, right now. If you are half-god, you will have no problem fighting me and winning!" Alex boasted grinning. Percy simply smiled and all of the water in the hall formed a hand that smacked Alex across the hall, cushioning him before his skull broke on the wall. Lily and James, of course, ran over to him straight away to check if their "precious baby" was okay, before glaring daggers at Percy. He just sighed and turned back to the rest of the students.
"Annabeth, daughter of Athena," que wave, "Nico DiAngelo son of Hades. Will Solace son of Apollo. Reyna Ramirez-Arellano daughter of Bellona. Thalia Grace," an audible growl could be heard from the girl as Percy smirked, "daughter of Zeus. Jason Grace son of Jupiter. Piper McLean daughter of Aphrodite. Leo Valdez son of Hephaestus. Hazel Levesque daughter of Pluto. Frank Zhang son of Mars and Tyson Jackson, my cyclops brother. Now back to you Mr Holmes. Hello."
"Yes, hello Percy. Nice to meet you. This is my flatmate John Watson."
"Ah, yes, I've heard much about you John."
"I'm not surprised if they were all about the random danger I've been dragged through." As Percy was about to reply, the castle walls shook and an explosion could be heard from the entrance hall. Sherlock looked worried and mumbled to John quietly,
"He shouldn't have gotten here so quickly John. We haven't warned them about what they plan to do." John nodded and Phoenix looked at the pair curiously as the hall erupted into shouting,
"Is it them?" he asked.
"Yes, sadly I think it is. I just thought that we would have more time, we would have had a plan to minimise deaths and a place to secure them."
"STUDENTS!" Albus called gathering the attention of everyone in the hall, "Anyone under third year please head to Hogsmead with Professor Sprout!"
"WHERE ARE THE DEMIGODS?" Phoenix roared so he was heard above the noise. Sleek (Ginny) whispered in his ear and he nodded before ordering teachers, students and guests to different places around the castle.
Minutes later, maniacal laughter could be heard from the Great Hall. Sherlock and John were confronting a very handsome irish man and a woman who looked very similar to Sherlock in a few ways.
"Look what we have here! Did you remember the poem I love to sing brother?" the woman asked, smiling maliciously at Sherlock.
"I that am lost, oh who will find me?
Deep down below the old beech tree
Help succour me now the east winds blow
Sixteen by six, brother, and under we go!
Without your love, he'll be gone before
Save pity for strangers, show love the door.
My soul seek the shade of my willow's bloom
Inside, brother mine -
Let Death make a room.
Be not afraid to walk in the shade
Save one, save all, come try!
My steps - five by seven
Life is closer to Heaven
Look down, with dark gaze, from on high.
Before he was gone - right back over my (h)ill
Who now will find him?
Why, nobody will
Doom shall I bring to him, I that am queen
Lost forever, nine by nineteen."
"Well done! Now Jim, don't be to rough and hurry up please. Those masked freaks will be here soon." And with that she sauntered out, singing the haunting tune loudly so that it echoed around the castle, hips swinging to the beat.
Elsewhere, Death Eaters finally breached the castle aiming to kill as many as possible while the students simply aimed to take the enemy out of the battle so they had some leverage.
A few lives were lost, mainly Death Eaters and soon the school was back under control. The residents of Hogwarts all gathered back in the Great Hall to see Sherlock and John muttering to each other, occasionally gazing at the doors before resuming their conversation.
Phoenix joined them soon after and while the injured were treated, all that could be heard was their murmurs and moans of pain. The demigods were nowhere to be seen so many assumed that they had gone back to their home now that the initial danger had passed, however there was no sign of the aforementioned 'Carter'. Most of the students were fine with this as anymore strange people coming to their school wouldn't be great. It was starting to look like the stories muggles loved to write about fictional characters, fanfiction they called it I think.
The next few weeks were quiet for the residents of Hogwarts and many took the opportunity to heal from the fight that had taken place recently. Many families also took this chance to simply spend time with each other, and the Potter's could be found talking to their recently rediscovered son, Harry.
"We are so sorry son. We were more worried about looking after your brother and raising him to defeat the Dark Lord." James Potter was trying his best to make him understand his reasoning.
"That doesn't mean you can just forget I exist. When did you ever invite me to even eat with you? The house elves made sure I had food and stole some of Alex's clothes so that I had something to wear!" Harry was furious but has agreed to listen to his biological parents. He hadn't expected such poor reasons to his neglect, but in the end, he agreed to visit from time to time and secretly hoped that they would pay more attention to him.
What nobody noticed however, was a teacher, slumped against the wall close to death. Professor Severus Snape had saved the Boy-who-lived from a cutting curse aimed at his neck. He sat in the shadows of an corridor corner, far out of earshot of the Great Hall or any common room.
