holy frick i suck at updating.
sue me.
also this is really cliché, you can see it from a mile away. but it's frEAKING ADORABLE SO BE PREPARED!!!!

the sky is a dark blue with stars twinkling every few minutes. the moon is a bright full moon and i get out of my car and make my way towards their apartment. i check my watch and read 10:43 pm.

i knock three times on ethan and grayson's apartment door and hear scrambling feet rushing towards the door. the door swings open, revealing a sleepy looking ethan.

"oh. hey y/n." ethan says, releasing a yawn afterwards. "i have never heard so much disappointment in my life." i joke, punching him in the arm. he looks at me a grimaces. "ouch."

i walk in and grab a bowl of frosted flakes and sit next to ethan on the couch. "so uh... where's gray?" i ask him, breaking the silence. he smiles. "i knew you liked him!" he yells, a grin growing on his face.

"shuddup, i do not!" i lie, my face turning a deep red. "why are you blushing, then?" he asks, raising his brow. i roll my eyes. "just answer the darn question, eteeweetee." i say, giggling at the nickname.

he frowns. "hey-" he begins. "ah- answer the question." i order, finishing my cereal.

"he's at our beach, night surfing." he answers coldly (our beach is a private beach not many people know about). "i'll take you." ethan says, standing up and putting my dish in the sink.

"'kay, who's car are we gonna take?" i ask ethan, as i collect my things and a blanket off the back of their couch. "mine. your's is shit. not to mention you don't even have your license." ethan says, chuckling as he locks the door. "watch your profanity." i giggle as we hop into his car.

"what are you planning to do with that blanket, y/n?" he says, a cheeky grin on his face. i roll my eyes. "sit on it, dumb arse." i reply, giggling. "uh huh."

i begin to draw the view i have in my sketch book. i spot grayson floating around on his board, waiting for a wave. i draw his little silhouette and add the moon and each star.

"you're freaking amazing at that." ethan compliments, leaning over to me and begins to watch me draw. "you say that every time." i say, glancing in his direction. "yeah, and you are." he replies, standing up.

ethan takes his adidas sandals off and walks to the edge of the water. "gray, come in!" he yells, cupping his hands around his mouth. i see grayson's head snap around and he waves to ethan, not seeing me yet.

he starts paddling towards the beach and soon stands up in the water. he picks his yellow board up and high fives grayson before whispering something in his ear, making gray smile and lightly shove him before replying.

crap.

"ethan!" i yell, making them both glance over to me. ethan smiles, with a mischievous look on his face as he runs away towards the area we parked. a few seconds later i hear an engine start and then his car drive away.

i roll my eyes and watch as grayson walks over to me in his stupid wetsuit (which actually looks freaking amazing because it shows every fricken muscle in his muscly body).

"hey y/n!" he says, placing his surfboard next to the blanket. he sits next to me and we start talking like usual.

going on about our day and how we're feeling and then cheering each other up. after roughly an hour of talking, he finally asks me a question i never thought he'd ask.

"why don't you have a boyfriend, y/n?" grayson asks, looking right into my eyes. i sit there, thinking for a while. "because i like this guy, but i don't know if they like me back." i confess, pursing my lips together. he hums in response and it goes silent for a few seconds.

"why don't you have a girlfriend?" i ask him, biting my lip lightly. "same reason as you. i like a girl but i don't think she feels the same way." he says, looking away from my face.

oh.

"well um, we tell each other everything, right?" i ask, a hopeful look in my eyes. "of course." he replies, leaning back on his hands as his eyes connect with mine again.

"okay, so on the count of three we say who we like..." i suggest, biting my lip, harder this time.

"okay." he replies.

"one, two," i pray that i won't regret this. "three." and right when i say the last digit, we say who we like, my eyes shut.

"you." we both say at the exact same moment. my eyes shoot open and he looks at me, a wide grin on his face. "really?" gray asks. i nod. his hand moves onto mine as we both lean in.

butterflies erupt in my stomach as our lips connect. we stay like that for at least fifteen seconds before our lips break apart for air.

"woah." gray says, a goofy smile grows on his face. "i've wanted to do that for a long time." i confess, smiling. he chuckles. "that's not all i wanted to do..." he (half) jokes and i slap his chest.

"gray!" i exclaim, giggling. "what? i'm just being honest." he smiles. "well you do look really good in that wetsuit." i say, letting out a soft giggle.

i lean my head on his shoulder as he grabs sand next to him and chucks it at me. "ahh! grayson bailey dolan!" i yell, standing up and running away. he chases me and catches up, picking me up and bringing me into the water.

"oh my gosh, it's freezing!" i yell as he splashes me. i swim towards him and jump up, wrapping my arms around his neck. "y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" he asks, his arms snaking around my waist.

i nod, pressing a kiss to his lips.

"duh."

"also, what did ethan say to you earlier?" i ask, my curiosity taking over.

"oh uh he told me to get some tonight."
