I walk across my hallway towards my kitchen and glance out the window to see a heavy snow storm outside my window.

As I was looking I see a dark figure sitting on my front porch with his face tucked in his hand and the other holding a bottle of vodka.

"Huh..." I mumble, grabbing my coffee off the table and slipping on my oversized hoodie. I grab my cold doorknob and walk out feeling the cold air strike my face.

The boy on my porch quickly turns his head and has a disgusted look on his face while tears drop down his rosy cheeks. "Hi." I quietly mumble. He sighs.

"Are you ok?" I ask, gripping my coffee cup tighter due to the cold weather. "It's none of your business." He harshly replies. He's probably had a rough night. "Well you are sitting on my front porch so..." I trail off. "You might as well talk to me. Not to mention you look terrible" I say to the stranger and giggle. He was quite handsome although it was hard to tell because of my dim porch lights and dark sky.

"How would you know?" He asks me, sipping his vodka. "Um it's midnight and your sitting on a stranger's porch with a bottle of vodka in your hand while you're crying. I think I got a pretty good idea." I tell him, chuckling at the end.

"Alright. Go ahead." He says, scooting over for me. "Thanks." I mumble.

"I'm Y/n."

"C/n." He coldly replies. "Well, C/n, what brings you here in this weather?" I ask him, drinking my coffee. "I did something terrible to my girl- ex girlfriend." He says, sipping his vodka again. "Alright first off, I think you should relax with the vodka. Drinking your life away isn't gonna help," I pause, drinking my coffee. "second, if she really loves you and you give her time she'll forgive you." I say, shifting my eyes to the stars.

He smiles, which made him look better. "Y'know, you give great advice." He smiles, putting his vodka down. I giggle. "Thanks I try."

"So what exactly did you do to make her so upset?" I ask him, rubbing my hands together. "I-uh- I cheated on her with her best friend... and she walked in on us." He says. I breathe out. It goes silent for a few seconds. "Then she has every right to be mad at you. But again, give it time. She should forgive you." I tell him. "It's cold out here, why don't you come in? I've got a fireplace and hot chocolate- or coffee if you prefer." I tell him. He nods. "That'll be nice."

3 years later...

"C/n, I'm home!" I yell. "Hey baby, how was work?" He asks, embracing me and kissing my head.

We've been friends since that one day. When his girlfriend wouldn't take him back I was there to comfort him. Eventually I fell in love with him and every night before we drift off to sleep he'd always tell me how stupid and immature he was for cheating but in a way he's glad he did because he met me. Which made me feel oh... very loved.

And I can't say I was happy he cheated but I also can't say I wasn't.
