The rest of the story will mostly be in Anna's POV and a lot of the scenes you know and love will be omitted for several reasons. Okay, here's the chapter. Enjoy!

ANNA'S POV
She sprinted into her room, head spinning with all the discoveries and answers she found out in the last hours.
Sirius was innocent.
She knew it! No matter how much they hated each other, they lost people they both loved, and somehow that was enough to being them together. Besides, she had always believed it. Perhaps it was the facts that were plain as day:
Sirius and James were inseperable, as close as they could get to brothers.
Sirius was firmly light, so eager to wash away the taint of the family name.
Pettigrew was always a shady character to her- he blindly followed who was the more powerful.
Were. Was.
Would she be speaking in past tense if she were in Gryffindor? If Sirius was in Slytherin? If Remus had never attended Hogwarts?
Stop, she chided herself. It's in the past. There's nothing you can do except move forward.
She curled up in her bed and began to sob.
Many people she cared for were dead. Others hated her.
She looked out the window, the full moon beginning to rise.
Remus was her only constant. He couldn't die.

REMUS'S POV
He woke up in the extra room next to theirs with sore muscles.
Of course. Last night was the full moon.
He sat up and pulled on some fresh clothes that were folded neatly in the corner.
Well, now back to reality. He wondered how Anna handled classes yesterday. He knew teaching was not her strong suit, but for his sake she had better done a good job.
An hour later....
"You WhAt?" he yelled.
He has just found out that she hadn't even bothered to show up yesterday. Oh yeah, that supposed errand. Surely it hadn't taken the whole day!
Well, bloody brilliant! Snape had been left to cover the class.
SNAPE.
SEVERUS BLOODY SNAPE.
He couldn't see how the day could get worse.
"Anna... just what in the Nine Circles of Hell were you DoInG yesterday?" he shouted. Unbelievable. The one person he relied on...
She looked down at the carpet like a scolded child.
"Remus... do you ever wonder if Sirius did what he did?"
The question was like a slap to the face. She knew what he and Sirius once were, right?
"No," he lied. "What's that gotta do with anything?"
She looked up, tears in her blue eyes. "Everything. I just-" she began to sob.
He was angry. Sirius was the one person he thought was his forever. And that hadn't answered his question, had it? But on the other hand, they both knew what yesterday was. And Anna rarely cried! The last times she had was when her parents, Regulus, and Lily died.
His heart softened. "Oh, Anna," he murmured, picking her up and placing her on his lap as they sat down on the sofa. "It's alright... yesterday was Halloween... it was just bad thoughts... he can't get in. We're safe..." he trailed off, realizing that his words were doing no good.
"I know," she cried,"but I still wonder what would happen if I made a different choice. I feel like one little thing could mean they have lived."
He nodded, rubbing her back softly. "Either way, Sirius would still be Dark." He felt her back stiffen.
"Let's get ready for classes," she said abruptly.
2 Hours Later...
Harry's class had come around.
"Snape assigned us an essay on werewolves!"
"We haven't covered that yet!"
"I tried to tell him, but he took points away..."
He held a hand up, a headache already forming.
He began to talk. "I see... well, I'll have a chat with him-" Anna snorted, only to be silenced by his glare. She was a handfull sometimes. "-you don't have to to the essay," he finished.
He heard Hermione groan. "But I've just finished it!"
Oh Merlin. Knowing the witch, she'd probably figured it out.
Another reason to yell at Anna and Snape later. He gritted his teeth and resumed his teaching.

Sorry for the short chapter! I may write less because of back to school, so expect a minimum of two updates a week. Again, sorry for the short chapter. I hope you enjoyed!
