ANNA'S POV

She heard whispers in the halls as she left for the Great Hall for breakfast a day after the 'incident'. Remus was still sleeping, yet it was already nine.

"I can't believe it-"

"He seemed so nice-"

"I'm glad he's leaving-"

She raised an eyebrow. What in the Angel's name where they talking about?

"Excuse me, what are you talking about?" she inquired politely.

The group of Hufflepuff second years looked up. "During breakfast, Professor Snape said that Lupin is a werewolf!" a girl with brown curls informed.

Her face went pale. "He did what?!" Anna yelled.

"I can't believe I actually liked him," another girl chimed in.

"Out of my way, brats," Anna spat. "I'm going to have words with Snivellus Snape. And forty points from Hufflepuff!" she shouted, not caring what they thought.

No one hurts her brother and gets away with it.

"SNAPE!" she thundered, pushing the doors to the Great Hall open.

Several students shrieked and leapt into the air.

She pushed through a group of Ravenclaws, and stopped in front of Snape, who was speaking with Dumbledore softly.

"DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT REVEAL REMUS'S SECRET?" she yelled.

Snape backed up. "Anna, I had to-"

"YOU BLOODY WELL DID NOT! YOU KNOW WHAT HE MEANS TO ME! JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE RIVALS IN SCHOOL DOESN'T MEAN YOU'VE GOTTA BE A FUCKING DRAMA QUEEN!" Anna ranted.

Snape raised an eyebrow. Anna never swore like that. She was serious.

The Great Hall was absolutely silent. Not even Dumbledore wanted to risk having the wrath of Anna Potter turned on him.

"I CANNOT BELIEVE WE WERE EVER FRIENDS, SEV," she spat, calling him that on purpose. "I DIDN'T THINK YOU COULD SINK THAT LOW. DON'T EVER BOTHER CONTACTING ME OR MY BROTHER EVER AGAIN, OR YOU WILL REGRET YOU WERE EVER BORN!" she shouted.

Snape stared at her. "Fine. If your pet wolf means that much to you, Annalise Rose Potter, then you can forget us forever," he said softly, not even caring in the slightest.

Whispers broke out in the hall: Potter?

Anna looked up at him plainly.

"See you, Snivellus," she said emotionlessly. And she left. Because if Remus was resigning, then she would, too.

Where he went, she would go.

She would not abandon him.

HARRY'S POV

It was a crazy year.

All that he believed about his parents' death had been a lie. He had an aunt, who was his Professor.

Crazy, indeed.

He may had let the Blacks away, but Sirius was still a wanted criminal.

He took a deep breath, and pushed open the door.

Lupin and Anna looked up. They were packing.

"Hello, Harry," Anna said softly.

"Is it true? You've resigned?" Harry inquired.

They looked at each other. "It's for the best," Anna finally said.

"How come you've never told me?" Harry asked, finally getting it out.

Anna sighed, and swept a lock of brown hair away from her face.

"Harry, it's not simple. Believe me, I've tried to get you from the Dursleys several times, but Dumbledore wouldn't let me. I've got you once, but he showed up and intervened."

"James and I grew apart at Hogwarts, too far to never be healed," Anna continued, looking at him. "But I regret it. I always thought that if we'd stayed together, they'd still be alive. But," she paused, picking up a box, "I realize that's how Fate intended for it to be."

Harry nodded. "I understand. Goodbye, Professors," he whispered.

As he turned to leave, he was enveloped in a three person hug.

"If you need to write, Harry, we're here," Anna whispered.

"You promise?" Harry asked, green eyes wide.

Anna and Remus looked at each other, love in their eyes.

"Of course. It's what family does."

"Oh? And Harry?" Lupin spoke softly. "Mischief Managed," he said, tossing him a piece of parchment. Tha map.

And with that, they left, with no idea how mich hope they put in his heart.

It was going to be a long summer.
