SORRY I HAVENT WRITTEN IN A WHILE :(

Busy w/ school and all... oh well, enough talk... let's get on with this! Everything you know belongs to Rowling!!

ANNA'S POV

They left the Shack in high spirits.

The truth was known and Sirius was closer to freedom.

"Anna, I'm sorry," Regulus said earnestly, stepping closer to her. "I didn't know he would react that way."

He being Snape.

She shrugged. "Eh. At least we're together now," she whispered, squeezing his hand tightly, as if he would disappear.

As if reading her mind, he said, "Ann, I'm not going anywhere. We have all the time in the world."

They both knew it wasn't true.

Someone screamed.

For a cloud had uncovered the moon.

The full moon.

She felt all breath leave her. "REM!" she shouted, staring his body go rigid. She turned to the kids. "Take Pettigrew and Snape and make tracks!"

It was too late; Pettigrew had seized a wand and transformed.

She turned away, for she could not bear to see her best friend and brother be tortured.

"Sirius! Reg! What do we do?" she cried helplessly. She had forgotten her wand again.

Sirius shouted, "Get the kids! And Reg, hide!" He transformed and led Remus away, deep into the deep and dark and dangerous woods.

Regulus looked up and met her gaze. The kids were all splintered. Harry and Hermione who knows where, Pettigrew gone for sure, Ron was on the ground, and Snape...

Where was...?

"Petrificius Totalus!"

Her world went black.

It was bright.

It was dark.

And there was nothing.

"Anna, can you hear me?"

Wait, there was something.

Blurred images like shards of a broken dream.

"Wake up!" a woman said forcefully.

Pomfrey.

But how had she gotten here?

"Drink this," the witch said. "It's time to take it. You had a rough night after Black nearly kidnapped you and Snape rescued you. Good thing you weren't bitten," she added thoughtfully.

"whAT?" she cried, spitting out the potion.

"Ah," Pomfrey said. "You were petrified. Snape rescued you. Now rest!"

Anna gaped at her. "Snape?"

Pomfrey said, "Ah, yes, I'll bring him in."

"What?! No!" she protested.

It was too late.

Snape entered, and Pomfrey excused herself.

"Anna Potter," he said silkily. "You WILL keep quiet about last night's activities."

"Why?"

Snape paused to look at her.

" 'Why?' Because! Don't you hate Black for what he did to you? Don't you think he should suffer for his crimes?"

Anna couldn't believe it. She sat up. "NO. He's innocent. He deserves to be free. I believe you should let your grudge go and stop being salty to everyone because you lost both of your girlfriends!" she shouts.

His face hardens. "Have it your way." He swirls his cloak and leaves.

Anna shook her head and caught sight of Dumbledore.

"Professor! Sirius is innocent! Don't believe what Snape told you! Please, Professor!!" she pleaded.

His eyes merely twinkled. "I believe Mr. Potter and Miss Granger are on it," he said cryptically, and left.
