Lucia
It was late at night. I had taken an Advil earlier for the headache and now I was feeling much better. I took a sip of my tea to soothe my sore throat and turned on my TV. I knew I had school tomorrow but for some reason I couldn't fall asleep. I sighed, maybe it's because I'm getting sick.
I heard my phone vibrate from my nightstand and quickly picked up. "Hello?"
"Hey Lucia," it was Bridget. "So I'm at a party right now."
I furrowed my eyebrows, "Okay?"
"And well, guess who I stumbled upon?" she asked.
"Get to the point, Bridget." I dead-panned.
"Aaron's here," she chuckled nervously.
"And I care... why?"
I heard people talking and shuffling in the background. "He wants to talk to you."
"Bridget don't you-" Of course, she didn't listen.
"Luceeee!" Aaron slurred. Wait, was he drunk? "I'm sorry, Luciaaaa. Can we be friends again?"
He sounded like a kid. Who gave this guy beer? Seriously.
"Aaron, I thought I told you to leave me alone." I rubbed the spot between my eyebrows, feeling a headache coming again.
I heard some more shuffling in the background and a crashing noise. What's going on?
"Hey Lucia," Bridget was back on the phone. "I know you're going to kill me, but can you take Aaron home? He's too drunk to drive and I've had a couple of drinks too."
I sighed, "It's late, Bridget. My parents are asleep."
"I know, I know. But he looks bad Lucia. He won't stop drinking."
"Fine. I'll figure something out. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."
"You're the best! Thanks!"
I ended the call and grabbed my keys. I had to sneak out of the house. I've never done that before and all because of Aaron. Ever since he got here he's been nothing but a pain in my ass. I grabbed some shoes and pulled my window open, good thing I live in a one story house. I slowly hopped out through the window, making sure I made no sound. Please, don't let me get caught. I already feel crappy enough.
I tip toed my way to my car, the rocks were not helping my case. Once I reached the driveway I got inside my car and started the engine. I can't believe I'm doing this for that idiot. Just when I thought I had gotten rid of him, he jumps right back. I had texted Bridget for the address and saw that it was only ten minutes away from my house. Good.
Once I arrived I quickly called Bridget again so she could bring him to the car. No way was I going inside that house. Everyone either looked drunk or high - or both, I grimaced.
I caught sight of Bridget and some guy. He was helping her carry Aaron. I opened my car door and they placed him on the front seat. He was asleep and just like Bridget had said he looked like crap. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.
"Thanks for coming." Bridget smiled and hugged me.
I waved a hand carelessly, "Whatever. It's nothing."
She chuckled and waved. "Bye!"
I waved back and got inside the car. I glanced over at Aaron who was lightly snoring. I started the car again and suddenly realized something. Where the hell am I suppose to take him?
