"We have to get to Aaron's school now!" I try my best to wrap up Blazes wounds. I look up at his cool blue eyes. I don't want to ruin his life too...I'm gonna have to get rid of him. "Blaze, I think I should take you to a hospital while I go get Aaron, you're hur-" "I'm not letting you go alone." "But Bla-" "No Rae, it's too dangerous! What if there are more of those men?! You'll have to, not only protect yourself, but Aaron as well!" I gaze at him. This is gonna be harder than I thought, he's stubborn. "Blaze, you can't do anything in that condition." He struggled to his feet, determined to show perseverance. "Rae, I couldn't live with myself if...if something happened you. And I wasn't able to be there to help." I didn't want Blaze to get hurt any more, he means so much to me. "Don't you see, I dragged you into this. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have two bullet holes in your body. You'd be home, living the life of a normal teenage boy..." This is it. This is where I have to cut it all off, the entire relationship we've been building is about to crash. "You would've eventually moved on and had a great life..." It breaks my heart to do this. "You can have a wife and kids..." But I can't risk loosing one of the only people I have left. "If you come with me now then you'll never have any of that Blaze, you'll probably just end up....dead." My gaze reaches the floor, when his hands gently grasp onto my shoulders. "Rae...I don't want any of that." He lifts up my head so our eyes meet again. "None of that matters. I'd rather die by your side at a young age than grow old with someone who I could never care for as much as you...I wanted to tell you this earlier but I was so nervous. I guess there's no reason to hold back huh" he smirks as his lips cease. "I don't want to live the happy, wild life of a teenage boy, or go to college, or get married or even move on with my life if you're not there because...well..." I can feel his fingers starting to fumble around on my shoulders. His eyes wander, looking for the right words. I can imagine that his knees feel wobbly as he clears his throat. "Let's just say, you're very special to me Rae" he lets out a quiet chuckle. "More special than...anyone else in my life." His smile makes one fall upon my face as well. I guess I couldn't shake him off. "Well, ok. But you better be careful Blaze." Although I wanted the best for him, I'm kind of glad that he's so stubborn. I'm not sure if I would be able to protect my brother...let alone myself, and honestly I could use him for emotional support. "So, can you drive" I ask Blaze after getting on my feet in search of my moms car keys. "Yea...well I don't have my license but-" "That's fine as long as you can get us to Aaron's school quickly." I give him the keys and we rush out the door, ready for the danger that might lay ahead.
