Chapter 1

Sarah Glen Pov

Beep beep

"Ugh.... Annoying" I wake up to my alarm clock. I look at the time. 6:00am. I got up and went to take a shower. I put on my school uniform and brush my brown hair. I then walked downstairs.

"Hey mom." I said

"Hey sweety." She said. She gave me some oatmeal. As I ate it she asked me questions.

"Why don't you bring Mike over anymore? Or any of your other friends?" She asked. Mike Lowell is my best friend we've been friends since middle school. He's basically my only friend 'cause I'm not really social.

"I don't know. I'll ask him if he wants to come today." I said looking at the time.

"Alright. I'll be late again. The money is on the fridge."

"Ok. Bye mom got to go." I said giving her a hug.

"Bye." She said hugging back.

I walked out and started walking. I was halfway to school. I saw Mike with another girl and got a little jealous. Wait why am I jealous I don't even like him. He's just a friend. I thought trying to convince myself. He then saw me and started to ran up to me.

"Hey. What's wrong?" He asked looking at my face.

"Nothing. Why?" I asked.

"Because you look mad." He said trying to get it out of me.

"Nothing........ Come on we're going to be late." I said walking faster.

"Ok" He said holding the 'k'.

I promise myself not to fall for him but that's to hard. We got there and headed to our class. Which was history. Mike and I sit next to each other. I put my head down still a little tired.

"No going to sleep." Mike said poking me head.

"Nooooo. I'm tired." I said poking him back. "Fine. What are we doing?"

"We are working on a project. We're partners. The profect is to study a US state. I chose for us."

"Which one?"

"Utah."

"Alright"

"Can I come over to work on the project tonight?"

"Sure I was gonna ask if you wanted to hang but then the project. Ugh."

"We can hang after."

"Alright." I said. We talked about what the project was going to look like and what parts we are going to do. I saw a girl looking at Mike. I didn't let it bother me. The bell rang and we went to our next class.

"Meet at lunch?" I ask.

"Ya. Field?"

"Ya."

I walked to math and saw a dude starring at me. I shrugged it of and continued.

~time skip to lunch~

"Ugh... Why can't school have early dismissal." I said laying on the field.

"Because... Now eat." Mike said giving me one of his apple slice.

"Not hungry."

"Just because you don't like the food doesn't mean you don't have to eat. Now eat." He said trying get me to eat.

"No" I said. He started tickling me. "S-s-stop it." I said laughing.

"Then it your food." He said.
