I think this is my favourite chapter so far. I had so much fun writing it. Hope you love it as much as I do.
Chapter 3
When I woke up it was quiet. There was no sound and it was kinda peaceful considering I HAVE to sleep with a fan at home. Keeping my eyes closed, I sank more into the black sheets, wrapping myself in the blankets. As I laid there, I remembered I didn't fall asleep in Taylor's bed with her like I planned. I passed in Tyler's bed when we were playing video games.
I didn't feel any weight beside me so I knew he slept somewhere else. I smiled to myself thinking how great of a friend he was. He let me stay and play video games with him even though Taylor was passed out, he let borrow his clothes to sleep in when I didn't have any and he let me sleep in his bed without making a fuss and waking me up saying I have to sleep somewhere else.
He's always been like that. To all his friends. Always kind, sweet and caring. He always has his friends backs and helps them out the best he can, even if he's a little uncomfortable with the situation.
Curled up in a ball for what I thought was another half an hour I zoned out, daydreaming about whatever was on my mind. I sighed when I heard my stomach growl. I didn't want to get up. I wanted to say in bed all day.
It may be strange to say to a guy, but I know all my girl friends can agree with me when I say that guy clothes, hats and blankets smells amazing. Like there is just something about it that no girl can really explain. It makes my head swirl a bit and I just want to smell that sent forever, and that's what I'm dealing with now.
I didn't want to get up, but I knew I had to. My stomach was starting to hurt from the lack of food. Smelling Tyler's pillows and blankets one last time I reluctantly slide out of bed and leave Tyler's room.
As I shuffle down the hallway and pass the family room, I see Tyler passed out on the couch. His head is resting on one of the couch pillows and a dark blue blanket is covering his whole body.
Literally. All I see is his messy hair sticking up everywhere.
I smile and walk up the stairs where I'm greeted with the sweet smell of bacon. Hunger over coming me I rush towards the kitchen yelling bacon. When I enter the kitchen I saw Taylor sitting at the island staring at me with an amused face, while her mother stood at the stove cooking but turned and smiled at me.
My face flushed red with embarrassment as I sat down next to Taylor. "Hello Mrs. Hunter," I smiled slightly. "Hello Jasmine. Did you sleep okay?" Taylor's mom turned around and handed me a plate with eggs on it.
"Ya I slept fine," I told her taking some bacon from the plate on the island and putting it next to the eggs on my plate.
"Did you work late again last night mom?" Taylor asks picking up her cup and taking a drink.
"Yeah, I had to finish some paperwork." She walks over to the stove and turns it off. "Anyways. Girls, I have to go get some groceries because Tyler keeps eating all the food around the house, so stay here till I get back and guard the snacks from Tyler. I don't care if you have to hide them and have a war in the living room with pillows and forts. Do. Not. Let. Him. Have. The snacks." She tells us, grabbing her phone and keys before exiting the room.
"I love your mom." I laugh turning to Taylor. "Yeah, she's even more chill now that we are older. She lets me and Tyler do almost anything, pretty much." Taylor smiles. Quickly finishing my breakfast, I grab both our plates and put them in the sink.
"So," I turn around to face Taylor and smile. "Wanna hide the snacks? We would have to do it quickly though, Tyler is still sleeping but I think he is going to wake up soon." I glance at the clock. 11:45.
