Late night party

(Jer POV)

I sat at the bar with a drink in my hand as I scanned the room. 'Where is she? Ugh, I should had stayed home' I thought before chugging down my drink. I exhaled loudly before a arm was wrapped around my shoulders. I jumped before turning my head to the culprit, to see it was Kaylee. "Hey, didn't mean to scare you." She apologized and I huffed. "What took you so long? I was waiting for half an hour. And you know I'm an ambivert so that doesn't help." She grinned "Aww, you shy from everyone?~" she teased. I blushed, "N-no, it's just I-I don't know them." I stammered and Kaylee chuckled before kissing my cheek. "I know, come on. Let's go dance." My face heated up from the thought of us dancing together. "With e-everyone? I can't. And besides I can't dance either." She didn't take that as an answer and grabbed my hand, pulling me along to the dance floor. I was flustered and embarrassed, because of her and the fact I'm terrible at dancing. "Just follow my lead, it'll be fine." Kaylee reassured me and held my hands, giving them a soft squeeze. I blushed and nodded. As we danced I kept looking down at our feet and worried I'd mess it up. She let go of one of my hands to lift my chin to look at her. My dark chocolate orbs met her emerald ones as she smiled. My face was bright pink and Kaylee just chuckled at it.

We were in the car to my house. I was checking my phone as I was passing the time. She looked over at me and said, "You look great in that outfit." I looked at her, not believing it. "Thanks,"
"You really do, Jer."
"I know."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Okay." She said, dropping the subject thankfully. I sighed in relief and noticed that we were there. "Thanks for everything tonight. It was fun." I said as I was unbuckling my seatbelt. "No problem, G'night." We shared a quick goodnight kiss before I left the car and got inside the house. It was a fun night.
