Virgil stared at his hands. They were a water like blue color with it going darker the closer to his wrists. He always mixed the blue with red and Roman called him a painter because that was the excuse he gave every time they would ask. But he wasn't your normal kind of painter, his body would always be the canvas. Patton would sometimes catch him in the act and calm him down. He now scratches at his wrists to at least get almost the relief from when he painted. Patton didn't tell the others about his paintings because Virgil made him promise. Right now Virgil's eye color is a ocean blue to match his hands. It matched his mood while there was black splattered on various parts of his neck and chest. He hated the colors he wanted to just be normal like the other traits. He got up and went to Patton and tugged his cardigan while he had tears in his eyes. "Kiddo.." Patton said before bringing Virgil in for a hug. "I want to be normal Dad. Why can't I be normal like you guys?"  Those words broke Patton's heart as he rocked his son back and forth while he cried. "Why do I have to be so different? Why can't I just change myself?" Patton shook his head as the words crushed him. "You do not need to change yourself. You are perfect just the way you are. You are just as normal as us." Virgil sniffled and clung to his father tighter. "Please don't lie to me." He mumbled and Patton lifted him up to have Virgil look at him. "I am not lying. I wouldn't ever lie to you kiddo. You are my son and I know you are special and unique. You do not need to change anything about yourself." Patton stated and Virgil smiled before hugging his father again. "Thank you Dad. I know I can rely on you." Patton nodded and continued to rock him. Virgil buried his face in Patton's shoulder and said in a soft voice. "I love you Dad."
"I love you too Kiddo."
