Chapter 20: Alternate Ending

*Ren Rae's POV*

-In the Hospital parking lot-

"I... wish did not happen. I sorry." Taehyung's making it sound like it's his fault. That the pillars fell on me. When he wasn't even there.

"It's not your fault Tea! Not at all. I just didn't move fast enough." He looks at me in the eyes and sighs.

"So you do know." He whispers. I raise an eyebrow confused but then quickly realize that I called him Tea. I open my mouth to say something but he beats me to it. "RR... I so sorry. I did notu tell you sooner. I scared thatu different with us. I really likeu you. I likeu you from startu. I did notu know what to do. I finally got courage to write you. We closeu... But I should have told you sooner. I notu same person as online." He lowers his head, looking down at his feet. Trying not to cry. My heart strings are tugging, making me feel sad seeing him sad.

"No. Taehyung. Please don't be sad. I'm not mad at all okay?" I lift up his chin with my hand, as he looks up at me in surprise. "I'm far from mad. Knowing this now, made me confused yes... But it makes me realize things as well. I know why you didn't tell me. You were afraid that I would have treated you differently. And I get it." I pause. As he looks up at me.

"But here I am. In person. The same girl you know from online. I'm not any different. I'll treat you the same way I treated you while we were writing to each other. You're still my best friend Tea. And I hope we can still be best friends." I hope that after all of this is done. When he leaves. That we'll still talk. That we'll still be friends.

"Of course! RR I don't wantu lose you. You mean the world to me. You also my best friend. And-" he suddenly pauses and stares at me straight in the eyes. "I likeu more than friend. But I understandu if you like Yoongi-hyung more than me. I'll still be best friends with you. I just wanted you to know." I only smile as I take his hand in mine. Tears stream down my face as I only smile at me.

"I like you too Taehyung... Except I never thought I'd have these kinds of feelings for someone else." I stop taking a deep breath. Taehyung wipes away my fallen tears as he waits for me to finish. "When Yoongi and I met in real life... I don't know what it was. I had butterflies but I didn't know what they were. What they meant. Every time he would make a comment about my appearance, it frustrated me. I just really wanted him to like me. Despite everyone saying I looked good, the only opinion that mattered to me was his. And when he saved me from almost dying... And when he pulled me out from under the pillars... To all the moments we had... It just kept adding more to whatever there is between me and him." I stop and squeeze his hand as he doesn't change expression. He doesn't look sad. Upset. He's just neutral. There's even a little smile forming at the corner of his mouth.

"I'm sorry." I whisper as he shakes his head letting out a little laugh. I stare at him in confusion as he pulls me closer. Into a hug.

"You don't haveu to be sorry. RR... I'm actually happy for you. Withu everything thatu happened in your lifeu. With everything thatu happened in his. I'm glad you found each other. I'm okay. I promiseu. We're best friends remember? I'm not letting you go." He lets go of me and genuinely smiles at me. "Exceptu from this hug. You haveu to go to Yoongi and tell him how you feel."

I'm completely shocked. He's taking this pretty well. I thought he would have gotten mad at me. Except here he is telling me to go to Yoongi. Smiling at me like he's genuinely happy for me.

"Okay. I'll do it." I smile back and Taehyung looks around and waves over my cousin. She walks back, with a smile on her face.

"Is everything okay?" She asks us, looking at me.

"You need take her see Yoongi. I tell you where we staying. Follow me." My cousin looks at him in confusion, then back down at me.

"I'm in thatu car." Taehyung points at the black suv, where there's someone patiently waiting in the drivers spot. My cousin nods and says, "okay. I'll follow you."
