When The Raven Calls

hey guys so happy late 4th of July hope you had a good one. so pretty much let's go. and as always NO HATE!

(RAVEN POV)

so I had been living with dad for two weeks now and I had been begging to go check traps with him he had been saying no but I kept trying. pleas daddy! I begged following him to the main camp everyone stopped what they were doing to see what he would say. Raven I don't think it's a good idea. pleas! he turned and crouched getting a hold of both of my arms. do you know what happens if there is an animal in the traps? I frowned as I really hadn't thought about it I then thought about the little squirrel's strung up I looked at him horrified. I'm sorry sweetie that's why you can't go... maybe when you're older. he said I sighed. fine. I said walking to go play with Carl and Sophia  we sat in the camp in Dale's sight I struck an idea up. you want to do what?!? Carl asked shocked. shh! I snapped as Dale wasn't far from ear shot. so let's get this straight you want to go release the animals? Sophia asked sitting there I nodded. I know where they are... come one we have nothing better to do... unless you want to be stuck doing school. I said making a point. I'm in. Carl said. what about you Sophia? heck no you two can go get into trouble. she said getting up and walking away we both got up and ran to get changed out of our pajama's I got changed(outfit above) and grabbed my boots I then slipped on my jacket hoodie poncho thing(image above) I came running out of the tint and found Carl and when no one was looking we made a bee line for the woods. is this really such a good idea? he asked jumping over a log. duh! I said the first few traps were already empty. Raven I think he's already emptied them. there's one not far from here that he checks last. I said even though I had never gone with him I knew his lay out I had helped with trap lay out I went running in the direction the trap was in Carl right behind me we stopped as we saw the trap. what's in it? Carl asked coming up behind me. some type of dog. I said walking over. Raven wait! he said grabbing my wrist. what? that's a wolf. I wriggled out of his grasp walking over to it looking at the little black puppy(image above) I opened the trap just as dad walked up. RAVEN  DIXON WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!? uh oh. Carl said. saving this puppy from becoming dinner. I said holding the wolf puppy which wasn't objecting. it's a wolf. and? it's still a puppy! you need to let it go. I frowned. what if I don't want to? Raven. I want a pet. I'm just gonna go. Carl said I turned and started walking with him dad followed. Raven it's a wild animal. I ignored him and got to the camp

(DARYL POV)

Lori help. what? Raven want's to keep this little wolf puppy. I think it's kinda cute. she said handing Raven a peanut butter and jelly sandwich she then ran off to the tint the puppy followed her. HEY NO ANIMALS IN- and she's gone. I said as the little puppy jumped in the tint. honestly Daryl it's fine loosen up some. I sighed. so let her keep it is you're answer? she nodded and walking over to Carl I sighed and walked over to the tint I looked in and saw her sitting on her bed she would take a bite of the sandwich and pull a piece off and give it to the wolf pup I smiled and walked in. it likes sandwiches! she said looking up I sat down on her bed. you're gonna take it back aren't you? she said all sad I smiled and shook my head. nah you can keep it. she smiled and hugged me. thanks dad! she said excited she then let go frowning at it. how do you know if it's a boy or a girl? she asked I felt myself go hot in the cheeks. u-uh well I- oh hey it just ate the rest of your sandwich. I said changing the subject she shrugged I then picked it up and held it some what. he's kinda cute. I said checking really quick with out her noticing she frowned. I'll tell ya when you're older. I said sitting him down.

(TIME SKIP)

I put Raven to bed and the puppy was laying there with her. good night Raven. I said kissing her head. night daddy. she said yawning. good night fuzz ball. I said petting the puppy. daddy his name is Dakota. she said crossing her arms. Dakota... hm cute. I said sitting down. ya know I should have known you're best buddy was gonna be a wolf. she frowned. why? she asked looking at me confused. where Wolves show up Raven's are bound to follow em. she smiled. good night sweetie get some sleep. I said kissing her head and turning the lamp out only for the puppy to start howling I moaned. Dakota go to sleep! I said  tired I then heard Raven howl I laughed. good night you two. I said and shortly after they both were sleeping.
