Birthday Disaster

Raven pov

I was climbing out of the sun roof walkers were everywhere I had to get out of there I slid down the car and started running there were people from the army black ops ect all over shooting those things in the head or putting other people down I kept dodging so they couldn't get me just in case they decided to put me down I then stopped as stealth copters went over head I knew they were there cause the flashing lights and even stealth copters make some noise I then saw them start dropping bombs in the main part of the city I stumbled back wards and watched as the whole city was getting taken by those things I then kept running

I shot up not even really screaming it was more of a gasp or a squeak but what ever noise I made it got dad's attention. hey,hey it's ok, you're alright. he said hugging me as I started crying. calm down deep breaths you're fine. I started to calm down some but not a whole lot. you wanna talk about it? I shook my head he sighed. ok

TIME SKIP

I was outside playing around with Dakota I hadn't gotten changed in almost three-four days I hadn't showered since the CDC Rick came walking up and started talking to everyone about the search for today I walked over dad was still getting some what dressed and one of Hershal's people were asking to help which was kinda weird Shane was kinda being a jerk but I wasn't paying attention to him I kinda zoned in more when dad spoke. I'm gonna borrow a horse head up this ridge, got a birds eye view of the whole grid if she's up there I'll spot her. I frowned I wanted to help! I sighed and sat down on the RV steps and started scratching Dakota behind the ear. I watched and dad started walking to the stables I followed after making Dakota stay. dad? hey dad? he turned. yeah Raven? he asked as I fell in place. why can't I come? cause Rave you are a kid... I don't want ya gettin hurt or lost. I sighed. but dad- Raven come on stop making my job harder, go up to the house. I gave him a look. please. I looked down as he walked inside the stables I frowned and looked at the wing necklace I took it off and ran inside the stables. dad- Raven- here. I said giving it to him he frowned. take it with you. he smirked and crouched. are you worried? I nodded some. don't worry I'll come back. he said kissing the top of my head he put it in his pocket and then saddling a horse I watched as he left and I went back to the house and climbed a tree I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. hey, hey kid? I opened my eyes and looked down Maggie was standing there her hands cupped over her eyes keeping the sun out of them while looking up. what? I asked as I braced my hands on the branch. come down here please. I sighed and laid on the branch some and swung my left leg over the branch I was hanging there for a bit before letting go and landing I stood and Maggie smiled. Raven, right? I nodded. so uh I was going to start asking the people still here if they maybe wanted to grab a shower or something and I thought I might start with you. I frowned and looked her up and down. I mean you said you people had been on the road and in the middle of no where for a while. yeah we have been on the road and in the middle of nowhere. she looked down. when was the last time you and your people had a shower? since the CDC which was about maybe five or four days ago. she nodded. when did you get those clothing? the first day on the highway so about maybe three days ago. I said looking up some she sighed. how about you go on into the house and get a shower I'll go up to my attic to see if there are still some old clothing up there from when Beth was about your age. I-I don't think your dad would like that. she crouched. don't worry about that go on up to the bathroom and I'll bring you the stuff ok? I nodded and headed inside as I was walking I looked at the calendar and looked at the day that Beth hadn't crossed off yet I smirked Maggie tapped my shoulder I looked up and started moving again finally I got to the bathroom I closed the door not locking it as Maggie said she would bring me some clean cloths I frowned as I looked in the mirror my wild hair which never wanted to stay down my bright blue eyes starting to water I was kinda tall for my age I had already taken my shoes off and I was just standing there I pulled my shirt up some and turned looking at my side in the reflection where there were scars and burn marks where Brian aka my step dad had used me as a human ash tray I then looked up Maggie was standing there door open clothing in her hand her mouth opened I jerked my shirt down and turned my eyes wide she was about to cry she quickly handed me the clothing and walked out closing the door
