Groaning I sit up looking at the clock on my nightstand. Seeing that it's Nine o'clock in the morning, I push the blankets off me and head into the closet room. I flick the lights on and see that all of my clothes from my closet at home are in here and more. Manda must have went shopping for me. I look through and see a small section with black work pants and green shirts. On the front of each shirt are the words, "Full Foods" and I grab one with a pair of the pants.
Putting them on, I turn and look at the shoe side of the closet and pick my black Adidas. I walk into the bathroom and look at myself. I put my hair in a high ponytail and pick up my blistex. I don't wear lipstick because, it doesn't really suit me. My mother use to make me wear it when I was fifteen through seventeen for balls at our estate. Looking myself over once more I decide not to wear makeup. I'm going to training not go out to eat so I think I'll live.
I pick up my keys, phone, and wallet making sure to have the credit card max gave me and not the 500 dollars that my father handed over. I don't need that much money on me at work. I put the Full Foods in my GPS app and head out the door. Full Foods is 10 minutes away so I have time to get a ice coffee from Dunkin Donuts next to it.
Walking inside i feel the cool air and I sigh. I order my french vanilla Ice Coffee and pull out my phone. Scrolling through I see Alise texted me back last night after I fell asleep. "I see. Well, Be safe pumpkin and I love you!! Text me back when you're finished." I smile at my nickname and text her an okay with a heart emoji. I grab my coffee, swipe the card and move on to my next destination.
Seeing that it was 9:50, I hurried along to Full Foods. Has I walk inside, I bump into what feels like a hard wall and I fall down dropping my coffee and the stuff. Great, I make it on time just to embarrass myself. "Darnit, I'm sorry." I stand to make sure I didn't get anything on the person. I look up and literally have to crane my neck to see the man that I bumped into. He looks down at me with the greenest eyes the world probably has ever seen. Fresh grass has nothing on them. I was so focused on them that I didn't notice Mr. Dallas coming over with a mop.
"Mr. Harris, I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were coming. This is Stacy Adams she is new. Today is her training." He explained. I shook his hand and felt butterflies. Rough but perfect I thought.
"I see, I'm sorry Miss Adams. I didn't mean to make you fall down." His voice was..
"Perfect..." I whispered before I even knew it was coming out of my mouth. It was like my brain was moving faster than anything. I blushed and turned. "It's okay, I'm sorry I bumped you." When Mr. Dallas was finished cleaning up the mess he told Mr. Harris to give him a minute and to go ahead to the office.
"Of course, well it was nice meeting you Stacy." He turned and walked away leaving me there to look at his back. He said my name, and the way he said it made me want him to say it again. I picked up my stuff and walked to follow but, slowly. I hope I don't get fired because of this. I don't know who he is but, he looks to be important.
I look around the store and notice that it is a big grocery store. Walmart is nothing compared to the size of this store. I look to see Mr. Dallas coming toward me and I start to pray that he doesn't yell at me. "That was a close one Miss Adams."
"I am so sorry sir, I didn't want to be late and I was rushing. It's all my fault."
"Stacy, it's okay. He isn't mad at you. Plus, you're new it is all fine." I sigh and hug him, thanking him.
"Who is he? He looks important." I ask looking at the door he went behind.
"He is the CEO of Société de tout. He owns this store and many others." Hearing him tell me that making me feel even more upset about bumping him. His rich and he might yell at Mr. Dallas for my actions.
"May I apologise again?" I ask, heading to the door anyways. I have to apologise and learn. I'm on my own now and I gotta handle things myself. Opening the door, I see him sitting down in the chair, with his back facing me and for a second I pause looking at him. I didn't get a good look at his face because, his eye had me in place. "Excuse me, Mr. Harris?" Hearing my voice, he turns standing up.
Mr. Dallas is behind me and trying to walk inside but, is stopped by Mr. Harris. "Let me speak to her for a second Sam." Nodding his head he gives me a smile and closes the door.
"I just wanted to get the chance to apologise to you. I wasn't looking and I hope that you could forgive me?" He gestures for me to sit down and I do in the seat he sat in. He went behind the desk and sat down.
"May I call you Stacy?" He was smiling and staring at me with a hard look like he was holding back on saying or doing something and that upset me a little bit, Like i wanted him to do something.
"Yes, You may." I tell him looking at my hands.
"Stacy, That's a beautiful name." I blush at his compliment.
"Thank you. My brother named me." I tell him, and he smiles at that.
"Well, I'm Stephen. Thank you for apologising but it is really okay. I'm sorry for standing in the entrance. That was foolish of me." I shake my head.
"It's alright Stephen." I smile back at him, feeling alot better.
"Maybe, Stacy I could take you out for coffee and that way I could repay you for it?"
I was a little taken aback. He just asked me out. Just like earlier, my brain was moving and I accepted his offer, blushing again. "I thought I would be fired because of this. So, Thank you seriously. I need this job." I tell him.
He stands and walks to my chair. "I wouldn't fire you ever." I take his hand and stand as well. I give him my number and say goodbye, Opening the door and allowing Mr. Dallas and Stephen to talk.
I can't wait to tell Alise about this!
