My Idea of what Stacy would look like. Model Jessica Serfaty

My second day of training is finished and I feel like I understand what I am suppose to do. The register is the easiest, but I suck at stocking. I can never find the right spot for most of the things. Sam said I can just work on that for this week and I should be good. The store is huge and it's so much to stock because, of the size of the store.

Finishing up my first box, I get a text message and I can't help but smile at that. Stephen is the only one that makes my phone buzz 24/7. I check it and see he sent his usual heart emoji and I put my headphones in. I press call and wait for him to answer.

"That was fast, you're not busy?"

"I am busy, but I got the emoji so, I'm calling." Hearing him laugh and get my butterflies and smile. "You're always laughing at me." I say pouting.

"I am not, I'm laughing with you."

"I wasn't laughing though dork." He laughs again and I think about hanging up but, I don't. I love talking to him. Whenever I get a chance to, I know I will.  I am happy to have him around. "So, our date is tomorrow. Are you sure you can miss that meeting?"

"Hell yes, I can. I'm going out with the prettiest girl in the universe. Why wouldn't I miss it."

"Universe huh? Okay Mr. Harris. Where would you like to meet up at?"

"Thought I was picking you up Miss Adams." This time I laugh.

"Um, If you want to pick me up that's fine."

"Okay, Text me your address and I will be there tomorrow say 11?"

"Yes, 11 is fine. Look, I have to get back but, text me when you can okay?" Hearing his okay, I reluctantly hang up. I wanted to keep talking, but seeing as I'm at work I need to focus. I see Sam coming up to me with a weird expression and I stop what I am doing. Since I've been here we became close. He was the same age as Stephen and I like that they grew up together. Their families are both rich but, I guess like me Sam wanted to make his own decisions. "You okay?"

"No, Actually I'm the opposite." He sighed, pulling the plastic chair up to sit beside me. "My mother called." I nod, still putting things away. "Yeah, she wants me to come visit my father and her this weekend and I am dreading it."

"Why?" He was starting to make me curious. "Do you not care to see them?"

"Don't get me wrong Stacy, I love my mother and my father, But they are a real show off. I have to be a certain way and talk and dress how they prefer instead of what I want. That's literally the whole reason I left now, they expect me to be like that when I come. I can't do that. I am me. What the hell do I need gel in my hair for?"

I get where he is coming from. I had to deal with that as well. It was something about appearance that made me and my mother's relationship drift apart. When I was young, My mother and me where thick as thieves but, I guess she was just waiting for me to grow up and marry me off to the first rich man she liked. My father wanted to me to be myself for the most part, but I could never ask him to go against her. She is very..controlling. She wants me to marry money because, I came from money. Isn't that fucked up? "I get it, trust me." I sigh.

"Well, I was going to skip, but now I'm thinking if you come as my lovely date then, I could get through dinner." I raise an eyebrow at him. Go to meet his crazy family.

"Yes, I would love it. I'm pretty sure an outburst is going to happen. My mother and your mom would probably get along anyways. So, I have no issue with being your pretend lady for the evening." Laughing he comes up to me and hugs me, squeezing the life out of me.

"Thank you, Sweet cheeks!" I giggle at my nickname.

After he walks away, I get a text from Alise. I press her name to call her.

"Alise, Wassup nugget?" Groaning, she replies.

"Still hate the nickname. Try again. Also, your mother told me to contact you to let you know that she is throwing a ball next weekend, and she wants you there." This time I groan. A ball? Is she serious!

"I bet this is for me to find someone again. God, I'm glad I got out of there."

"Yeah, I overheard her talking to your father about it. She wants you to meet these three men that are coming. They are supposedly loaded with cash and they all want to see Princess Adams."

"Now I still hate that nickname." I laugh. "Well, Tell her I will be there, and I have a surprise for her."

"Ooooh, Can I have details?" I think about it and decide why not, Alise is like my sister, my best friend.

"His name is, Stephen Harris." Hearing her cough, I confirm she knows who I am talking about.

"You are not serious?!" I laugh.

"Yes, I'm serious! Look I have to go but, I will call you when I'm off Nugget." Hearing her groan again, I hang up and start making a plan. My mother always does this, but this time I have a surprise for her.

Deciding I made my mind up I make a call.

"Hey, Stephen. I need a big big favour?"
