I'm only alone
when I'm with you.
You have the face
of someone I knew
the eyes
of my hometown
your smile shines
through the heart figure
of my locket.
But you hurl at me
a language in foreign words
almost as if
you are wishing
that I'll be overwhelmed
and fade away.I'm only alone
when I'm with you
when the voices all blur
into one another
forming a thick paste
of static.
When the warmth is stolen
by the mass
of breathing bodies.
When my identity melts
leaving a blank face
that looks like
everyone else'sI'm only alone
when I'm with you.
You say
everything around you
glitches
and I look into it
and find it unbearably
existing.
But I'm only alone
when I'm with you
when I look
at my hands
and realize
that 'everything around you'
includes me too .
