Even though, Jaylins parents were being evil by not allowing her to go with us, that doesn't mean it's over. I was going to persuade them, no matter what.

"Hey Lelani!" interrupted Caleb.

"Oh hi!" I replied. I pushed away the golden strands of hair that fell in front of my face.

"So I was wondering if u want to go get smoothies. you know, just you and me"

"Ya I'd love to!" I tried to not to sound too eager. As we walked over to the small juice shack that was right by the pier, I looked over at Caleb. He was smiling, with his perfect white teeth. they almost seemed to sparkle in the light till suddenly my thoughts were interrupted.

Uh, Lelani, did you hear me?"

"Oh sorry, what did you say?"

"Oh I was just wondering how you liked night surfing." he asked.

"It was so fun! i loved it! Do you know when they'll throw another party?" I asked.

"No, but if i find out, I'll tell you," he said.

When we arrived at the Juice Cafè, I ordered a tropical smoothie and sat down. As Caleb and I talked, I realized how amazingly perfect he is. I mean, I know a lot of girls love him and everything, but I had always just seen him as a friend, until now. His tan skin literally glowed in the suns rays, his smile lit up the world, and his luscious hair had tiny particles of salt in it that sparkled. But best of all was his personality, he was smart, funny, kind and just... perfect.

When my name was called for my smoothie and walked over to the counter. Awaiting me there was Chelsea. Chelsea wasn't exactly my friend.

"Oh, it you," she said disgusted.

"Nice to see you too," I said sarcastically. See this is why I really hate Chelsea. she's just mean for no reason. I walked off swinging my hair into her face as I left.

Once I sat down, Caleb smiled at me. I melted inside.

"So how's your smoothie?" he asked sincerely.

"Delicious! How's yours?" I replied.

"Oh mines better than delicious!" he said mockingly. I laughed. I took another sip of my smoothie. "so who's that girl over there who keeps staring at me?" asked Caleb. I groaned.

"Thats Chelsea, the evil, putrid, demon who's goal in life is to ruins my life." I said.

"She sounds wonderful!" he said sarcastically.

Ya, and she seems to like you," I said with a tinge of jealousy in my voice.

When we left the Juice Café, the sunset was a brilliant orange with lavender clouds. it was all so romantic. Me and Caleb sat down in the cold sand.

"It's beautiful," said Caleb.

"Ya, it really is," I said intrigued. Suddenly, I was looking into his chocolate brown eyes, and he was looking into mine. He leaned in towards me, and I could hear his gentle breathing. The sunset and the sound of the waves crashing made everything seem so perfect. And that was when we kissed.

When we walked back home, I knew I loved Caleb, and he loved me.
