Chapter 6

I could not stop thinking about him. that's all my Brain was filled with. Caleb! Caleb! Caleb!

Suddenly Jaylin asked, "you wanna go for a swim or something? it's so hot!"

"Sure" I replied. and that's when it hit me, I hadn't told Jaylin about Caleb yet.

We rode our bikes down to Cocoa Beach with the wind in our hair. SCREEECH! I skidded to a halt, jumped off my bike and ran to the beach.

Once we reached the sand, I threw my flip flops off and jumped in. Jaylin and I dove under waves, kicked water at eachother, and splashed away. I started to feel my toes get numb when out of nowhere I saw Caleb just a little bit away. he still hadn't seen us yet, until he looked our way. I pretended not to see him and jumped over a wave like superman, sprawling my arms and legs out. When I glanced over at him, I saw him mocking me by jumping clumsily over the wave like I had. when he arose out of the water, he smiled at me. I laughed half heartedly.

"Hey guys!" he said.

"Uhhhh were girls." Jaylin corrected. she stomped her foot in a joking manner.

"Hey girlssss!" he said, exaggerating the 's'.

"What's up?" I said trying to act cool. it was not working.

Luckily he just replied, "nothin much. But I was wondering if I could talk to you Lelani." I stood there awaiting his question until he said, "uhmmmm, in private."

"Oh, right!" Jaylin stood there trying her best not to laugh. I let him lead me by the hand to a soft spot in the sand.

"I couldn't stop thinking about last night, and I just couldn't get you out of my head!"

"Ya me too. but about you! I corrected myself. he just laughed.

"And well I realized how much I liked you and I was wondering I you would be my girlfriend?" He asked confidently. of course it was confidently, he's Caleb.

"Yes!!!! uhhh I mean ya!" I said sounding way too eager.

"Ha, cool!" he said. when we walked over to Jaylin. Jaylin clapped and jumped around.

"Awwwww! that's adorable!" exclaimed Jaylin.

When we walked over to the taco shack, we saw our two good friends, Opal and Alex.

We all sat around the table. WOW. is this really happening?!? my life is perfect right now, except for the move. :(
