As I walked down the pier looking at the cute tops, I told Jaylin about the possible move. She didn't say anything at first, and she just stared at the ocean. I could tell she was processing the information.
"Oh... oh no." said Jaylin.
"Wait, light bulb! You can come with me!"
"What?! Are u crazy? My parents are never going to allow it." Don't you remember, I'm amazing at persuading. i'll ask my mom."
"Where will u be moving anyway?" asked Jaylin.
"Hawaii." I replied.
"Oh I'm coming!" exclaimed Jaylin. We began laughing so hard.
Me and Jaylin walk into my house. "mom!" I yell.
"I'm in the kitchen!" she says back. We strut confidently into the kitchen.
"Uhmmm, I was kinda wondering if we could maybe bring Jaylin with us?" I asked warily.
"Bring her where?" my mom asked suspiciously.
"To Hawaii," I replied uncertainly.
"Lelani, that is a big decision. not only for me but for Jaylin's parents as well," my mom said. Jaylin looked down at the ground anxiously twiddling her thumbs.
"I know, but I think it kinda makes up for you not telling me about the move and since it's all because of your job," I reasoned.
My mom sighed. "I'll think about it," she said. Jaylin and I jumped for joy. "it's not for sure yet," she interrupted.
Afterwards, we ran to my room and shut the door. my surf boards laid on the ground and against chairs. my room was a mess, but Jaylin didn't mind.
We played music on my radio. I was so happy, even though it was not for sure yet. we still had to ask Jaylins parents who are a little more strict.
