Chapter Five

~ Justice ~

I woke up smelling breakfast so I run down the stairs and see Momma cooking food. I hug her from behind and she jumps a little. She jumped from Carter, he's always scaring mom.

"JUSTICE!!'' someone yelled from upstairs.

"WHAT!'' I yell back and stomp angrily upstairs.

I see Carter getting ready to open his mouth to yell my name again until I run to him and put my hand over his mouth.

''Pleaase be quiet, and how come you cant take your lazy arse downstairs'' I whisper/yell.

He shrugs and I sigh loudly. I run downstairs and decide to watch Spongebob because you know... I'm kinda childish. A few minutes, my mom shouts that breakfast is ready.

I run to the kitchen and get first plate.

"Ha ha I got first plate Carter!" I yell while laughing.

He shakes his head chuckling. I giggle and sit down at the table.

I finish my breakfast. I put my plate in the dishwasher and go back to the couch.

My favorite episode is when Spongebob and Patrick are doing a campfire and squidward gets mad so he tries to teach them how to camp. That's the one I'm watching now.

The doorbell rings and I yell "I got it" then reach to open the door.

I see Matt standing there with a white shirt and some blue and green swimming trucks. I let him in and hug him.

"Woahh missy you okay" he says cautiously.

I nod extra fast while going to the couch and sit down. He follows me and sits down.

"So, not to be rude but why are you over here" I say while turning my body towards him.

"Well I wanted to do something today like swimming maybe in my backyard" he responds while shyly smiling.

"Sure hold on let me go get dressed" I say.

I get off the couch and run upstairs. Personally, I'm not trying to impress him so I have to get something casual. I put on a blue camouflage bikini top and black shorts bottoms. I get a white cover up shirt and just get my black toms.

I run downstairs and see him watching Ridiculousness. He chuckles at one part and I instantly have butterflies.

"I'm ready, oh I see you like Ridiculousness too, I love that show. Rob Dyrdek is hilarious"

He turns around and smiles and pats a seat next to him.

"You ready" he says anxiously.

I nod and we head out to his car. I don't know if it's just going to be me and him or them all including Carter.

"Is it just going to be us, or all of your friends including Carter"

"Its going to be all of us including Carter, why?" He looks at me confused.

"Oh nothing I was just wondering" I respond while looking into his precious brown eyes.

He smiles and we get drive off to his house. We reach his house 15 minutes later. He shuts the ignition off and we both get out. I run to his backyard gate and open it.

I feel a buzz go off in my shirt pocket, so I grab my phone and look at it. It's Carter.

Call convo

Carter: Hey, Justice where are you?

Me: I'm going swimming at Matt's pool is that alright? what's wrong?

Carter: Oh nothing, mom wanted to know because you just left unnoticed so yeah me and my boys will be there in fifteen ok? Tell Matt!

Me: Ok big bwother. Byeeeee!

Carter: Bye wittle sis!

I hang up and tell Matt the news. He nods and takes off his shirt. I stare before turning away blushing, I take off my cover up shirt and take my phone out and put on "So what" by Pink.

I take off my toms and in the corner of my eyes I see Matt getting in. I do a flip off the diving board and dive to the end of the pool and sit there. Let me tell you something if you have seen Percy Jackson and the lightning thief where Percy sits in the water. That's kind of what I have, I can sit underwater for long periods of time.

I close my eyes, and run my hands through my hair. I open my hair and see Matt on the water looking for me. I wave to him smiling and his face literally went white.

Oh no!

I frown and go up for air. I gasp and see Matt floating down to the end. I scream then breath in a deep breathe and dive down to get him.

I grab him and paddle to the top. I put him on the curb above the pool.

I give him CPR and pump his chest.

"C'mon Matt you can stick through this c'mon please" I say while pushing on his chest.

I put my ear to his heart and hear it's beating. Ok that's good. I lay my head on his chest until he spits out water.

I look up and smile a big, wide smile.

"MATT, OH MY GOSH YOUR ALIVE, OH MY GOSH!" I hug him hard and a tear drops. He sits up and holds me.

I look at him with tears streaming down my face. He wipes then away and smiles.

I don't smile back then he frowns.

"Where's that beautiful smile, I'm conscious again you don't have to worry"

I keep a straight face until I feel his lips touch mine. It feels so weird. Is a kiss supposed to feel all tingly?

He lets go and looks into my eyes. I clear my throat and awkwardly brush myself off.

"Thanks for.. um.. saving me" he says rubbing his neck awkwardly.

I nod then all the boys come out screaming in excitement. They all stop overlapping each other looking at me and Matt.

They frown because they me red faced, and Matt's hand rubbing his neck.

To not make it anymore awkward I yell "Well let's go"

They scream in excitement and I say " Hey Matt can you take a pic of all of us jumping in the pool including you?"

He nods and get a the camera from inside and sets it on a lodge. He gets where we are and shouts "3.. 2.. 1 JUMP".

We all jump and we hear the shutter.
