I walk into school and do the usual thing: grab my books and avoid Chase. I walk past some stall Janelle is running.

"What's up Janelle?" I ask.

"I'm signing people up for the one on one basketball tourney." She smiles.

"Cool, when is it?" I add.

"Today after school." She replies.

"I'd love to play but my dad banned it, I will come and watch though." I tell her.

"Ok, see you later." She replies.

I walk away and try to find Vicky but spot Max and Dan.

"Hey boys." I walk over to them.

"Hey Em." They turn away from their lockers to look at me.

"Do you know where Vicky or The lovely couple are?" I ask but they chuckle when I mention Stephanie and Josh.

"What?" I ask.

"Nothing. Uh...I think Vicky is at cheerleading practice." Dan replies.

"Ok, thanks. So, what are you guys up to in this fine morning?" I ask as I hug my folder.

"We've just finished football practice." Max tells me.

"Fun." I smile.

"Hello." Vicky's voice calls and I turn to see her walking over.

"How was practice?" Max asks.

"Fine." She smiles as she gives Dan a kiss.

"So, are you guys a couple now or just very close?" Raise an eyebrow and they laugh slightly.

"We are officially dating." Dan squeals like a little girl.

"And here I was thinking she was the girl in the relationship." Max mocks.

"Speaking of girls, Where's Josh?" I ask.

"He's over there." Max points behind me and I see Stephanie and Josh talking. I don't know what they're talking about but Stephanie sure looks pissed. She stomps away from him.

"What do you think they were talking about?" I turn to the guys.

"No clue." Vic.
"No idea." Dan.
"I don't know anything." Max.

They all shout at the same time.

"Okay..." I say awkwardly.

"Hey." Josh walks over to us and we all return it with a hi.

"Josh, just so you know: I'm already over you." Stephanie says to him with real hurt.

"Stephanie are you okay?" I ask.

"I don't need your pity, the only reason I hung out with you losers was because my boyfriend likes you but now all you are is a sad bunch of losers." Stephanie shouts as she storms away, attracting a few minions.
