Cry was among the last to arrive at the dining area, and he immediately noticed the divide between the two groups. Obviously he was expected at Kenny's table, so he went to where he usually sat. Kenny gave him a small hum of acknowledgement, but his focus was mainly on watching for someone else.

As soon as Clementine got close enough to the two tables, he raised his arm and beckoned, "Right here, Clem!"

Cry grimaced at her conflicted expression as she looked between Luke - who also had his arm raised, as if he were about to invite her over - and Kenny. He hated that Kenny was making her choose; it was obvious that she was very torn at the moment.

Ultimately she chose to join Kenny and Cry. They were old friends, and Cry suspected their wicked history had a say in the decision. She sat down across from the two men.

"Here you go, Clem," Walter said as he slid a bowl of food to her.

"So, Clem, we were just talkin'... what's the deal with that kid? What's his name... Luke? He in charge? You trust him?" Cry gave Kenny a sidelong glance. They hadn't been talking about that at all. This was likely just Kenny wanting answers.

Sarita also picked up on this. "Kenny, please."

"Sarita, we don't know these folks," Kenny rebutted.

"They seem nice," she shot right back.

Kenny scoffed, "Yeah, well, gators seem nice too, 'til they bite your damn arm off."

Clementine finally spoke up, "I like him. He's a good guy."

"Would you trust him with your life?"

"Kenny, is this really necessary?" Cry asked, exasperated with how confrontational he was acting. "Is it not enough that she trusts him? If there was a problem, I trust Clem would let us know." Clementine nodded a bit hesitantly.

Kenny grumbled, then spoke again, shooting Cry a reproachful look, "That guy... Big Al? He said they were on the run."

"Some people are after them," Clem confirmed.

"Well, you don't have to worry about that no more. They'll go tomorrow and you can stay here." Kenny's voice had less edge to it now, hostility gone once off the topic of Luke and the others.

Sarita nodded with a smile. "Absolutely. Honey, you stay with us as long as you want."

"She's stayin' for good," Kenny beamed.

"If that's what she wants."

"Of courses she does," Kenny stated. "Right Clem?"

Her eyes drifted to Cry and he offered her a gentle smile. "It's up to you, kid. You can do whatever you want."

She thought for a moment until she put on a smile that reflected Cry's. "Thank you."

"Of course, sweetheart. Cry couldn't help the surge of affection at knowing that she wanted to stay with him. He reached across the table and ruffled her hair - well, hat really, but the gesture was the same.

"This is like a dream. Dammit, I am so happy right now, I can't even tell you," Kenny said loudly, slapping the table in his excitement.
