Snape took Kris to the Hospital Wing, and sat her down on Lynn's hospital bed.

"What's going on?" Lynn yawned as she sat up.

"I need to talk to you two, there's more to me than you two know."

"Ooh," Kris childishly crossed her legs, "story time."

Lynn did the same, but set an elbow on her knee.

"It all began when your mother first told me about being her being pregnant, and it might be mine. I did have a one night stand with her-- behind Darnell's back-- but I never suspected that she would be carrying my child-- children."

"Is Brendan also your child?" Lynn curiously asked.

"No, no he isn't. He is Darnell's, for sure."

"Go on," Kris sighed with annoyance.

"So when she told me that I was the father of you two, I didn't believe it. I was worried that Darnell will find out, and will come after me. I wasn't scared of him, but I was mostly scared for your mother. Well, when you two were born, I distanced myself from her, and from you two as well. She has always told me how she wanted me in your lives.

She has also been crying to me about Darnell drinking excessively, and abusing you three, when Brendan was still in the womb. I wanted to do something, but I didn't. What can I do? So I didn't speak to her, until the day I met you two for the first time. You had their dark orange hair, but your eyes weren't blue, they are black like mine. Darnell was skeptical, but Narcissa took advantage of his stupidity and told him it was just a gene mix up."

Kris and Lynn chortled at their mothers witty way of convincing others.

"Now, now, I'm not done yet. But once you two spotted me, both of you looked into my eyes. You two were studying me, like you were looking for similarities. I should've smiled and told the truth to you two, but instead I scowled and stormed away to sit on a park bench. Karina, you always challenged your mother. She would always write to me, ranting on and on about your stubbornness. Of course I was never like that, but you two were raised by Darnell. I kept telling your mother to leave him, and I would then join in on your lives, but she denied me. Telling me that she doesn't need me anymore, Darnell won't give up Narcissa easily.

Lynn, you were the quiet one. I was the one who got you that potions book when you were just a tike, but Darnell took the credit. Your mother didn't challenge, because she knew what he would do.

Now, when I was alone, I got into some very bad magic. I became a Death Eater, the worst thing possible. As I soon drifted from the dark side, I became an agent for Dumbledore. The Dark Lord would always mention Darnell's children-- you two-- as sacrifices. But me-- as the hero-- suggested someone else, Harry. But, I didn't tell him where or who they were. Peter Pettigrew did it, he ratted them out and that's the reason why Harry has no family. Sirius, of course, tried to kill Peter, but he was convicted of killing innocent muggles."

"Snape why are you telling us this, why now?" Lynn asked.

"Because, you two are coming of age, and I don't want to hide anything from my daughters."

"Why do you have visitors-- why are you two here? Severus no visitors! Out! Out!" Pomfrey interrupted and shooed him and Kris out.

"Snape-- should I start calling you father?"

"Your choice."

"Father-- this isn't easy. Will you tell the staff about Lynn and I being your children?"

"That's where we are heading right now."

"Father, if you and mom were in Slytherin, how did Lynn and I get into Griffindor?"
