After celebrating Kris and Lynn's 17th birthday, Fred and George taught them how to apparate around the house.
"Just because you're 17," Mrs. Weasley huffed as she scrubbed furiously at the dishes, "doesn't mean you can Apparte wherever you please!"
"But how come Fred and George get to?" Lynn whined as her and Kris took the muffins out of the oven. "Crap, still hot."
"Wingardium Leviosa," Kris conjured as the hot tray hovered over to the table and onto the cloths set down for it.
"Now that's how you use magic," Mrs. Weasley congratulated, "responsibly."
"Aye!" Ron shouted as he walked into the kitchen. "How come they are using magic?!"
"We are 17 you dingbat," Lynn teased as she stuck her tongue at him.
"Wait- YOU'RE OLDER THAN ME?!"
"By a few months, yeah," Kris explained. "Lynn and I were a month and a half early, said my mother."
"Hmph," Ron groaned as he trudged up the stairs.
"Well," Kris sighed as she dusted the flour off of her apron, "I'm going to finish my studies and... Write."
Not even three minutes into her plans, someone interrupts her focus.
"Aye Kris!" Fred shouted as he jumped onto the couch next to her.
"What," Kris sighed as she closed her journal.
"Lupin is speaking with Harry about Draco Malfoy. Ron told me he saw you and Draco snogging."
"Oh please," Kris lied, "if him and I were the last two people on earth, that's the last thing I would do."
"Whatever, go see what their talking about. They also brought up Snape. Very peculiar of them, ain't it?"
Kris widened her eyes at the mention of her father, she quickly stuffed her journal into her bag, and walked over to Lupin and Harry right away.
"Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy for a mission?" Lupin asked Harry.
"I know it sounds mad," Harry sighed.
"Of course it's mad!" Kris countered. "You don't know him at all, Harry!"
"Why should you even care, Kris?" Harry snapped.
Why should she even care? Her and Draco got into a slight argument, but she can't let these preposterous accusations just pass her by.
"Enough out of both of you,"Lupin scolded. "If I knew better, you should be lovers, not fighters."
Kris sighed and took a seat across from Harry, they both glared at each other, giving a sense of hate.
"Has it ever occurred to you, Snape was simply pretending to offer Draco help," Lupin cleared his throat, "so he could find out what he was up to?"
"That's not what it sounded like," Harry fired back at Lupin.
"Perhaps Harry is right," Tonks butted in.
Tonks is an Auror, she is a cousin of Sirius and married to Lupin.
"What does this have to do with my father? And what do you mean that's not what it sounded like?" Kris asked as she eyed Harry.
"I listened-"
"But that doesn't mean my father isn't up to no good. You can't just keep profiling him. I heard them too, Harry, but I am slightly beginning to agree."
Kris hated her admission, she does think Snape and Draco are up to no good, but this is the first time she decided to share it.
"As I was saying," Tonks sighed, "to make an Unbreakable Vow it's-"
