Lynn woke up, rather late, on Saturday morning. Kris wasn't in bed, she got curious and skeptical.
"Angelica," Lynn said as her and Angelica finished getting dressed, "where's Kris?"
"I don't know. But maybe she already joined the team to watch the trials?"
As the two walked downstairs, Kyle, Leo, Jonathan and Derek were already down there, along with the Quiddith team and people trying out.
"Have any of you seen Kris?" Angelica asked as she adjusted her white sweater.
"Maybe she's already at the arena?" Harry suggested. "She does rise early."
"Let's go then shall we?" Hermione shrugged.
All of them walked down the stair cases, down the halls that led to the outside. They were all approaching, until Lynn spotted something orange in the middle of the green field. Once they were close enough to make out whatever it was, Angelica shrieked.
"Oh my god!" Lynn almost fainted at the sight of Kris's body.
Harry was shocked, Ginny was speechless, Hermione was like a statue. As for Ron, he fainted.
"Is she dead?" Leo asked as he slowly approached Kris's body.
Kyle knelt down before her limp body, and checked her pulse, there was no pulse to check. He bit his lip as it quivered, tears built up in his eyes, before he knew it, he was crying before Kris's lifeless body.
"Harry," Lynn nudged his petrified body.
The Slytherins then came striding onto the field. Of course Draco was there, with Yasmin and Pansy. Lynn didn't know what to tell him, she is beginning to panic as he came closer to Kris's body.
"What are you Griffindors doing?" Draco asked as he approached them at a quicker pace.
Oh crap, Lynn thought, oh crap. Oh crap, oh crap.
Harry stood in his way, telling him to leave.
"You have no business here," Harry sniffled as he tried to stay strong, to hide Kris's body.
"Harry," Lynn cried, "just show him!"
Harry frowned, and stepped out of the way. Kyle got up, and stood next to Derek. His face is shadowed as he tilted his head down, hiding his watery eyes. Draco looked down, and saw Kris's dark orange hair. She was still in her pastel blue pajamas, but there was no light in her eyes. Draco went weak in the knees, and fell before her. His little cries echoed through the arena, he scooped Kris's cold body in his arms, and had his tears fall on her clothing.
"Excuse me! Move please!" McGonagall shouted through the crowd as he tried to get to the center.
Draco put Kris's body down, Harry then mourned. He didn't try to silence his cries, he lifted her into his arms, and felt her cold skin.
"Potter, what are you-?! OH MY GOODNESS!" McGonagall shrieked. "Severus! Severus get over here!"
Snape made his way to Harry, and saw his dead goddaughter in his arms.
"Who did this?" Snape bellowed as Harry set Kris down. "WHO DID THIS?"
"I- I-" Harry stuttered, "we don't know."
"Quidditch trials are cancelled!" McGonagall announced around the common room.
Lynn was propped up on one arm, still shocked about Kris's sudden passing.
"Lynn are you okay?" Jonathan asked.
"Oh," Lynn said in a sassy tone, "I don't know! How do I feel? My sister is dead!"
"Sorry, just wanted to try and lighten the mood."
"Ninetta," Angelica gasped.
"Ninetta?" Lynn tilted her head at Angelica.
"Up there," Angelica pointed at the locked window, and Ninetta was flapping her gray wings repeatedly at the glass. "Alohomora."
The window then unlocked, and Ninetta pushed it open with her beak. She dropped a letter on Lynn's lap. It read:
Dear Karina and Lynnette,
We love the drawing! It really shows our foolish and witty ways. By the way, here is a few love potions. Just for you two! We know it must be hard without us there, but we need you to remain strong. Also, we aren't planning to return to Hogwarts, we are doing fine at the joke shop. Please write back, we miss you all, including Ginny and Ron!
Your brothers,
Fred and George
Lynn set the letter down on the table, and pressed her fingers against her temples. She began to whimper, she let her head fall to the table, and she began to cry.
"Lynn," Angelica sighed as she rubbed her back. "It's okay..."
"No it's not! Nothing is okay!"
"How about you try a patronus?" Leo suggested. "Seeing the porpoise might cheer you up a bit?"
Nothing can cheer Lynn up, her twin sister is dead. But she decided, why not? She thought of her mother and step father, welcoming them in their arms after their first year, and conjured.
"Expecto Patronum!" Lynn waved her wand, but nothing appeared. "Expecto Patronum!"
Nothing, not even a little silver sash, no dust, no animal, no porpoise.
"What?" Lynn tilted her head at her wand.
"You can't conjure a patronus," Angelica sighed, "remember? You and Kris shared the same patronus, and since she is no longer here, you won't be able to conjure a patronus."
Lynn teared, she can't conjure a patronus.
"How's Harry holding up?" Kyle asked as he approached them with red puffy eyes.
"He isn't do quite well, actually," Hermione sighed. "He's like a zombie, he's here, but his mind is elsewhere."
"What about Ginny and Ron?" Lynn managed to say some more words.
"Ron is comforting Ginny," Hermione wiped a tear, "she isn't functioning well."
"Lynn don't cry, you've cried enough!" Hermione shouted at Lynn.
"I have not cried enough Hermione! All the tears streaming from my eyes, blurring my vision, and drenching my clothing isn't enough to show the despair and sadness of her death! You think that it is easy losing someone you love?! Well, it isn't! You don't understand, you never will! I lost hundreds upon hundreds of beloved family members! As for you, NONE! The only ones that you lose die of natural causes, well mine didn't! They were murdered! And Kris has been too! We will never know who would want to kill her! We will never know!"
Hermione didn't dare to counter Lynn, because she was right. During this fiasco, Harry was at a desk, in the corner. He had Kris's journal, he was flipping through the pages, filled with sketches. He came across a drawing of her, her own self portrait. The drawing had blush on the cheeks, and took huge detail on her eyes and eye lashes. Harry took out his quill and dipped the tip in ink, and wrote at the top of the page, "My Beautiful Rescue."
He smiled, but it quickly fainted when the image of Kris's dead body came to mind. The portrait door, slowly opened, revealing someone walking into the common room. All eyes fell on the portrait door, taking in the reality. Harry noticed it got quiet, and looked over to who it was.
"No," he gasped.
