Harley Swan P.O.V.
The next day I woke up, got dressed in a lazy outfit and left to go to the Cullen's house. Mr. Molina was taking students out on a 'field trip' for our environmental studies. Jasper, Edward, and Alice were making me go. When I got there I left my bike outside and went straight to the kitchen where they not only kept blood but some snacks for me. I grabbed an apple and one of their cups then filled it with water. I sat on one of the empty spots on the counter and waited for them, I got here early today. Just then Carlisle came down.
"Hello, Harley." He greeted me with a smile.
"Hey." He pulled out a jar of animal blood and poured some into a cup. "Ah, you have to go to work, ugh, I feel bad for you."
"No need. I'm quite accustomed to it. Drink a glass of blood every morning then go hunting once during the weekend, sometimes every other weekend."
After he finished his glass he gave me a hug then Esme met him at the door and they kissed and he left. As I waited for the Cullen clan Esme came over by me.
"Hey, Esme." I greeted.
"Hello, Harley. I see you're wearing your wrist cuff. Now you're even more apart of the family."
She smiled and we hugged. Esme has been a better mother figure than my real mom. I have slipped up before and called her mom but she never minded and told me that I could call her mom if I wanted to. We talked until they came down. We all said goodbye to Esme and left for school. Arriving, Rosalie and Emmett went inside because they were not going. Alice, Claude, Jasper, Edward, and I were all standing around the car. Edward was staring at Bella. Once we got on the bus I started zoning everything out.
The day passed in a blur and before I knew it I was riding my motorcycle home. I did not get to see Carlisle after because he was working late that night. I was so lost in my thoughts I never knew there was a car until it hit me.
(A/N: Haha suspense.)
Carlisle Cullen P.O.V.
They were bringing in two crash victims, the driver and a passerby on a motorcycle. The driver was a drunk some of our nurses were tending to him. Then they rushed in the passerby.
"Female, 5'4, lots of cuts, possible broken ribs, possible internal bleeding." A paramedic shouted.
I looked at her and immediately recognized her as Harley. I took her and got to work on her. She had internal bleeding. Her right side took the most damage. Her right clavicle and ribs numbered four, seven, eight, and twelve were broken. On her left side her ribs five and six were broken. She, luckily, had no cuts on her face. Finally her right knee was fractured. Most of the injuries would be a quick healing process.
I was standing in her room looking down at her, She had been moved into a private room rather than the emergency room for privacy purposes. Charlie had been notified. He stayed, with Bella as well, until they were no longer allowed in here, I promised to get him updates every so often. I looked at Harley. There was a high risk that she could die. She cannot leave us. I set her heart rate monitor on a loop, one they could not detect. Staring down at her I apologized and did something I might regret later.
"I'm so sorry, Harley. We love you and we cannot lose you." I whisper before I sink my fangs into her neck.
Quickly I cover her mouth as I draw blood then release venom into her. I felt her scream into my hand. It pained me to do this but she was going to die, we could not lose her.
Harley Swan P.O.V.
When I woke up I realized what Carlisle had done. He turned me, I was now a vampire. I definitely could tell the difference. Everything was obviously amplified. But there was something else there, but I was not sure what. There was also a bit of a feeling in the back of my mind but I pushed it away.
Charlie was sitting in a chair beside my bed sleeping. Just then Carlisle came in he had a cup with a cap and straw. It was filled with animal blood.
"It's not the same but it's all we can work with right now."
"Thanks, Carlisle."
I drank down the delicious liquid without a second thought. After all this was who I am now.
