Matt's mom and sister got out of the hospital the next day. I hadn't found out what the surprise was until Addison called me.
"Hello?" I answered. Addison spoke to me in short breaths.
"We're mo-oving back to London."
"What?!" I screeched. "When?"
"Next month. Mom called Dad and-"
"Wait, 'Dad'?"
"Yeah, apparantly Mom had his number all these years and she got a hold of him and he wants us to move in with him in London because he thinks it's too dangerous in Canada."
"There has to be some way to convince him to let you stay here."
"We tried but he's one of those people who get set on something and you can't change their minds no matter what."
"Well, at least we have the rest of the month."
"Yeah, well I'll see you at school tomorrow. Bye."
"Bye." I let the phone drop to my feet after I hung up. Unfortunately for me, the battery came off and slid under my door so I had to go get it. I opened the door and jumped when I saw Mom standing there. "MOM! Were you eavesdropping?"
"No. I just heard you on the phone and stopped to listen."
"It's the same thing." I grabbed the battery for my cell and slammed the door. I wasn't in a very good mood to talk.

I woke up at my alarm for the first time in three weeks. I gt up, showered, and did my chores before school. After feeding the horses, I checked my emails. There was one from Matt that said:
Hey, Kathryn. I just wanted to tell you that I'm really sorry that I didn't get to tell you that we were moving back to London. I didn't know how... I guess Addison did, though. Sorry again, see you later.
-Always yours, Matt G.
A tear ran down my cheek. Then I laughed because Matt G. was a famous YouTuber and he always did ridiculous dares. I turned off my laptop and grabbed my backpack and ran to the bus which was blaring its horn outside my house.
I took my seat in the back of the bus and stared out the window the entire way to school. I thought about how I was going to go on after Matt and Addison left. There's still Josh, but he's an utter and complete ass. Before I knew it the bus screeched to a stop in front of the school. I flung my bag over my shoulder and walked through the titanium doors, feeling the way I did on the first day of school; invisible.
