Arrietty: Returning to you

My Wish:

I made that promise when I was 13 anyway. It's been a few years since that day and I'm 17 years old now. If you're me, you know it's hard to be patient when it comes to waiting for lots of years to reunite with someone special to you. One thing I'm grateful for that's changed throughout the years is ever since Arrietty left, my wicked maid Haru was fired. Good. serves her right for trying to hurt Arrietty and her family. After my Aunt found out about her shooting me dirty looks and how she locked me in my room that time, she immediately fired her and took a little of her paycheck that she gets when working for us. At least that turned out okay. Then I got a report from my Aunt saying that my parents had to buy and live in a house far away because of thier job, so I still can almost never see them. However since I'm 17, I can drive now, so that means I can visit them whenever I want. But I guess that leaves me alone with my Aunt to live in the place. It's late at night now, can't be sure if around 9:00 or so, but that doesn't matter. I couldn't sleep. Arrietty was in my head. I still remembered that promise we made that day.

"Shawn....."
"Yes Arrietty?"
"If life ever decides to be fair........"
"Yes?"
"Let's try to reunite together again"
"Okay"
"And before I leave promise me one thing...."
"Yes?"

I could never remember that last part, but something in my heart told me it was something important. Because that was made 4 years ago, I can't remember everything, but I remembered most of it. It's just that last part's bothering me. It seemed like the most important part of the promise. UGGGHH!!! I just stared at the ceiling of the wall for a while before finally getting up. I sneaked down the hallways and stairs and then checked on my Aunt. I opened the door slowly and quietly so she couldn't hear me. Yep. She's asleep alright. I close the door and then rush a little. I finally reach outside and go sit on the grassy field of beautiful flowers and grass all over it. I think I just need to sit and think about this clearly.

"And before I leave promise me one thing...."

Man, What did I promise her? I know it has to do with us. Maybe she whipsered it and I couldn't hear all of it? Ugh! This is so frustrating! I sigh and then think harder. We've been really close I guess, I practically know a lot about her for a quick and short friendship. There's just one thing I want to know more about. That guy she mentioned. Spiller I believe. That guy. I remembered seeing him give her a berry as a gift, or as food to survive and I saw her smile at him and take it. Smile! That's another thing that deeply bothers me! And when she took it, he actually started smiling wide and dancing around! Ugh! Can't believe that guy! Then as I started to feel a flame swirl inside me, I looked up into the night sky and saw beautiful white stars shining and making the sky glow ever so pretty.
I even saw the sky shine a special moonlight straight on me, like a spotlight! Oh.....Arrietty would have probably liked something like this. Then the wind started to run through me, making my clothes and hair wave gracefully to it's speed. Then as I smile and twirl at how cool this was, I look out towards the sky and see something from a distance. It was white, shined really, really bright, and was running across the sky really fast. I walked forward with the moonlight following me. Then I squinted my eyes and looked closely. It was a shooting star! And shooting stars mean wishes can come true! And I know just what I wanna wish for. I folded my hands, bowed my head, and closed my eyes. As the star passed by, I made my wish. "Oh Star wish, star bright, make my star wish come true tonight" the star starts to get closer, "I wish, oh I wish" it comes closer, "To reunite with Arrietty" then I open my eyes and look at the star. I frown and look at it a little scard. It was heading a little closer to me than it should. He he. Then I ran for it when I saw it actually coming towards me. I ran as fast I could, but it seemed like running so fast was a first time for my heart, so it hurted, but that can wait, this thing was actually trying to hit me! Then while running, I trip over a branch and fall into a deep ditch, injuring myself. Then I lay there helplessly as the star comes towards me. Then as it passes by me really fast, I see a quick glimpse of it's magic transporting into......my heart!? I even saw my heart glow during the transfer! Then after it passed by, I saw the star go weak and started to glow less and then joined all the other stars in the sky as a regular star. No longer a shooting star. "So, it drained all of its magic inside of me" I started to suddenly feel weak too, "But.....Why.....like......." Then I  become weaker and finally go unconscious.
