"hey babe. how's school?", i ask as sungwoon sits beside my bed.

"i couldn't stop thinking of you.", he smiles. that sentence made my day. i smiled with pure happiness. sungwoon holds my hand tightly.

"what'd the doctor say?", he asks.

"he said i'm going to be out soon, but.", i take a deep sigh. "with a wheelchair."

"if only i hadn't told you to cross the street, you wouldn't have—"

"babe, i'm fine. i really am.", i lied. he gives me a smile.

"tell you what? why don't we go somewhere after i get out of here?", i offer, not telling him what will be coming. i try not to get teary and hide it with a yawn.

"you're sleepy. sleep jagi.", he pats my hair and kisses my forehead. "i'll visit you tomorrow, okay?", he says.

"i'll see you tomorrow.", i fake smile. as soon as he closes the door, i cry. "i have to let you go, sungwoon."

a week later

"ahhh! i'm finally out!", i exclaim.

"where do you wanna go?", sungwoon asks, hands on my wheelchair.

"um, let's go near the docks and watch the sunset.", i suggest. he pushes the wheels and i feel really helpless. maybe because i am. as we reached the dock, i took a deep sigh.

"sungwoon.", i start the conversation.

"yes?", he answers.

"i'm sorry."

"sorry for what?", he laughs.

"i'm breaking up with you.", i huff out.

"w-what? w-why?", he scrambles.

"i don't love you anymore.", i lie.

"i know you're lying. tell me the truth."

"i don't love you."

"tell me the truth, y/n!"

"you deserve to be happy! you deserve to be happy with someone else who can walk! someone that can give you what you want! someone that you don't have burden to take care of! someone who will love you more than you love yourself. and i'm sorry that it isn't me."

tears start running down both of our eyes. i wipe my tears, and roll out of the dock.

"y/n! the moments with you, are what fills me with happiness!", i hear him from behind.

"don't you dare run after me!", i yell. "or i'll never forgive you.", i start crying and crying uncontrollably. and those crying sessions continued for a long time.
