monday ; jihoon
it was a cloudy day. i checked the forecast, rain. glad i brought my umbrella. i waited in the bus stop. it had started to rain. a few minutes later, i saw y/n running, sheltering her head from the rain with her backpack. i quickly stood up and ran to her with my umbrella.
"yah, you're all soaked," i commented.
"i know," she replied. we took a seat under the bus stop.
"you're early today." i saw her shiver. "oh, here," i placed my jacket on her small figure. good one, jihoon, i approved.
"uh - thanks."
"that new student's coming today," i said, my head boiling knowing that the new student was a boy. though i didn't know who the boy was yet, i knew he was going to like y/n. she's popular among the boys, and most people are jealous of me. i'm her best friend. who in the right mind would want to be best friend zoned? in all honesty, i don't know how she feels yet.
"oh, yeah. i forgot," she retorted.
"you seem down tod—"
"oh! the bus is here," she interrupted me. is something wrong? the bus had stopped in front of us and she hopped in, paying her own bus ticket.
"oh, y/n! you're here early and you didn't forget your ticket!" the bus driver said, shocked. y/n nodded and found a seat near the window, looking at the raindrops.
"you okay?" i asked her.
"mhm," she hummed. i was confused. she's less enthusiastic today.
"yah, something's going on, right?" i asked again. she turned around and looked at me intensely.

y/n
"that new student's coming today," jihoon reminded. please don't remind me.
"oh, yeah. i forgot," i lied. in fact, i knew perfectly well who the new student was. my stalker, jinyoung. the bitter and horrific memories had poured back into my head. i shivered.
yesterday
unknown number: y/n?
me: who's this?
unknown number: jinyoung! remember? how've you been?
me: why are you here? how'd you get my number?
unknown number: i'm moving to your school tomorrow :)
my chest tightened, and i took a deep breath of my inhaler. i quickly blocked his number.
i'm scared, jihoon, i thought, though he wasn't here. he was the only one i could call. my mom was abroad, and my dad was basically disconnected from my family.

i look at the raindrops on the bus window.
