"you'll be out of your cast in about six to eight weeks. make sure to come by if you have any problems with the cast on your feet, okay? the nurse will give you your crutches.", i nod as the doctor tells me about my fracture.

"daewhi-ah! can you get me a glass of water? i can't go down the stairs because of my fracture!", i yell from upstairs.

"here's your water, sis.", daewhi politely puts the glass of water on my table.

"yah! daewhi-ah! what time is it?",  i shout from my room, as i put on my uniform.

"yah! i'm gonna leave you behind!", he yells from downstairs.

i couldn't drive because of my fracture, hence, my brother, daewhi, threatens to leave me behind.

"yah! don't you dare! you little!", i yell as i slowly get down the stares.

"c'mon grandma, we're almost late.", he gives me a look.

i roll my eyes.

"oh, and my friend's coming with us.", daewhi tells me. i blink twice.

"w-woojin?", i stutter, holding the railing of the staircase.

"yeah."

i walk down the stairs slowly, still thinking about woojin.

you see, he's my brother's best friend.
