I groan and run my fingers through my red hair. "Chey, you won't be able to understand this is you don't pay attention!" My older brother, Nathan tells me. He's in college, and I suck at school, so my mom is making him tutor me.

"Well I would if this was actually interesting!" I lay my head on the desk, hard. "Ow." Nathan laughs. "Hey, get up. Next year or so you'll be a senior, then college. So stop whining." I sit up and shake my head. "It's Friday, let me be free!"

Nathan's jaw drops as I run away. "Cheyanne May Clark get back here!" I just laugh loudly and go outside with no shoes. I trip on my old pink bike and fall on my face.

"Cheyanne! Hey-what are you doing?" I look up and find Emmy laughing. "Um. Just hugging the ground." I get up and brush off the dirt. "Sure you are."

I stick my tongue out and come to her. "Why are you here anyway?" I ask. Emmy fake gasps. "I guess you don't want me here. Jk. Anyway, my mom is making me come to her sister's wedding tonight, come with me?"

I give her a funny look."But the last time I met your aunt she was married." She shrugs. "Divorce." I nod. "Nice. And maybe, if my brother lets me."

Emmy groans. "But your brother is so hard to negotiate with. How about your mom?" I shrug. "She's always at her business trips." She nods. "Well, hope for the best!" Emmy waves and walks away. I wave back and go back inside, with my brother in his angry look.

"Chey," My eyes widen. "Sorry for running?" I say, which sounded much like a question. Nathan shakes his head and smiles. "So, I hear you're invited for a wedding." Here we go again with the brotherly protection. "No kissing, hugging, holding, hands, drinking, or talking to any boys.

I glare at him. "So? That means that I can't socialize! I'm a social butterfly you know!" I shout. Nat snorts. "Whatever. But sure, go ahead and be a 'social butterfly' and leave me all alone, sad and lonley." I laugh. "It's ok. If they have any chocolate I'll steal some for you."

Nat nods and grins. "Now, when is it anyway?" I think for a moment. "Tonight." His jaw drops. "Well, go get ready then!" He rushes me towards my room, then leaves.

I'm pretty sure he's bipolar.

Today was the day my life changed.

Wait, that sounds cliche.

Oh whatever. My life didn't change now, it changed at the wedding. Right now I'm in my room, tugging my dress. It was so, girly. It was a blue dress that went down to my knees, the top was dark blue with sparkles and the bottom was a lighter blue.

So, girly.

"HEY CHEYANNE, EMMY'S HERE!"

I shout back, "COMING!"

I put on my tan heels, which hurt so much I don't know why I bought them, and rush downstairs constantly tripping.

"You know Chey, you shouldn't wear those shoes." I look up and find Em looking. "Well, it mathces and the wedding's formal." She laughs. "Well, hurry up, my mom's in the car waiting.

Nathan pushes me. "Don't kill me." he laughs and waves. "Don't flirt!" I stick my tongue out and me and Emmy go inside the car. Her mom was in formal wear of course, and she smiles. "Hello Cheyanne, you look nice." I smile. "Thank you."

We go to the church wear the wedding was located, and Em nudges me. "You bring your phone?" she asks. I nod. She grins. "Imma use it when I'll be bored." I shake my head in disapproval. "Shame on you."

She laughs and get out of the car. "Hey Emmy!" We find a boy in a tux coming out of the church with arms waving. ""You're here!" Emmy grins. "Bryan!"

Bryan had blonde hair, and he seemed like 16-17. "Hey Em!" I poke Emmy and whisper, "Who's him?" She laughs. "Bryan, meet Cheyanne. Cheyanne, Bryan."

I nod and wave to him. He does the same. "So, let us go to that par-tay!" I look at Emmy as she runs over to the chruch. "Doesn't she mean wedding?" I ask Bryan. He sighs and nods. "She can be a bit crazy somtimes." I laugh. "Knowing her since I was liitle, I'd notice."

He grins, and we go into the church.

"Do you, Ester Marie Ruth take John Bob Reed to be your loving and lawfully husband?" Emmy slides over to me. "Ugh, these are so boring. Phone please?" I sigh adn hand her my phone.

She grins and unlocks it and goes on my twitter. I shake my head while smiling and continue watching them. "You may now kiss the bride." I cover my eyes as they kiss. The people cheer, and I take a peek if they finished. They did, and I sigh.

Emmy rushes outside, screaming "FOOD YES THANK YOU!" She took my phone. I walk over outside, where the food was. Well, stumbling and tripping actually. "Need help?"

I turn around and find Bryan smiling. I blush. "um, no. O'm perfectly fine just tripping and stumbling here." he laughs. "Well, ok then." He walks away, then I just roll my eyes. "Ok, ok. I need help."

He turns back around and lifts an eyebrow up. "Well, ok then." He walks over me and holds a hand. I take is and he walk together outside.

We reach outside, and find Em stuffing chocolate in her mouth. "Hm, how nice." I say in front of her. She stops eating and looks at us. "Oh, um, I saved some for your brother." Bryan laughs and sits next to her. "Cousin, stop eating or you'll be fat."

My eyes widen. "You two are cousins?" I ask. They both nod. "Yeah you dummy." I nod and sit next to Emmy. "Hey, I'll get me some more food, a.k.a chocolate, so see you!" she grabs her plate and rushes over the line.

"Um," I cough awkwardly. "So, how old are you?" Bryan asks. "16. You?" He shrugs. "It wouldn't matter anyway." I look at him funny. "What do you mean?"

He looks at me. "It's not important." I nod and look around. We sat in awkward silence, until Emmy comes running to us, dropping several chocolate pieces. "Ok, so I might've taken the last pieces." I smile and Bryan shakes his head.

I take a piece and take a bite. "Hey!" I laugh. "Payback for running away with my phone." Emmy sticks her tongue out and hands me my phone. "Thank you." She grins and takes a bite of chocolate. "I'm so healthy."

Bryan gives her a funny look. "You are fat." She smacks him in the head. "Ow! Violence is never the option!" Emmy smirks. "Well, it is in my world." Bryan leans over to me."It's because she's a rare and ugly creature."

I laugh and Emmy's jaw drops. "I heard that!" As I watch them bicker, I go on Candy Crush and start playing.

"SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT STANDING THERE IN MY AMERICAN APPAREL UNDERWEAR!" I sing along to the radio. Emmy covers her ears. "Can't sing." I laugh. "Hey, I'd take that as an insult, but I'm not a cancer and I don't be nice to people, so shut up."

Emmy rolls her eyes and laughs. "Whatever." We reach home, and I thank Emmy and her mom. "See you at school tomorrow!" I wave to her. SHe does the same.

I walk back home, and unlock the door finding Nathan smiling. "Why hello my dear sister. Here let me help you walk back to your room." I lift and eyebrow up then nod. "Ok then." I put my arm around his shoulder and we walk upstairs.

Nathan looks at me. "So, did you bring me any food?" I shake my head. He then drops me and runs upstairs. "Hey! You're so mean!" I hear him laugh and shut the door.
