"So, tell me, do you like Bryan?"

Emmy slides over next to me and wiggles her eyebrows. I smack her in the face. "No, now go away or I'll hit you again." Her jaw drops. "Hey! Why would you hit your beautiful and caring- ow!" She rubs her face and glares at me.

I pretend to be sorry. "Oops. Didn't mean to do that." I try to not giggle while Emmy goes back to her seat. We were at lunch, and I was eating a piece of Emmy's sandwich. "Whatever. You know, you guys would be so cute together."

Glaring at her, I take a bit of the sandwich. "When you tell me this, it's like you're demanding me to hurt you." Emmy sticks her tongue out. "Oh shut up." I laugh and steal her water. "Thank you."

She looks at me. "Where's your food?" I shrug. "I might've left it at home while me and my brother were arguing." Emmy shakes her head. "Shame. Why can't you guys have a relationship like me and my brother?"

I laugh. "Well, for starters, your brother is like 5, and he's so adorable, unlike mine." Emmy's jaw drops. "B-but, he's cute!" Now my jaw dropped. "What. Em, Nathan is like, 20. While you're 16. If oyu guys date IT'S BASICALLY ILLEGAL!"

Emmy shrugs. "So?" "So! It's ILLEGAL. I-L-L-E-G-A-L. Get it?" Emmy laughs. "Ok, ok, jeez." The bell rings and she looks at me. "Hey, by the way come over today." I look at her funny. "Why?"

"I am going to help you." Emmy tells me.

"What do you mean?" I ask her as she throws away her lunch. "Well, I'm going to give you information about my cousin, Bryan."

I shake my head. "Get over the fact that I do not have a crush on him." Emmy just sighs. "C'mon, please come over? My parents are out at some meeting so I'll me alone."

Laughing, I sling my bag over my shoulder. "Hm, maybe." As I walk away, she shouts "You better come!"

"Now class, with the person next to you, make a poster about drama."

I groan, because the person next to me was Lucy, my other dear friend, but she just can't work. "Yay! We're partners!"

I roll my eyes and grin. "You better help me on this you know." Lucy nods. "Yes I will. C'mon, trust me."

The minute she finishes talking we both laugh. Like Lucy would ever work."Miss Clark, Miss Hess, something wrong?" We both shake out heads. "No Mrs. Nelson." she nods and goes back to grading.

"So, what did you do over the weekend, without me?" Lucy asks while she gets out her markers.

"Um, went to a wedding. And shut up Luc, you were at California while I was stuck here in boring Washington state." I say.

Lucy laughs. "Oops, sorry. But just saying, L.A was fun." I glare at her and push her lightly. Mrs. Nelson looks up. "Girls, if you don't work I'll have to separate you two."

We blush. "Sorry Mrs, won't do it again." I get up and get one of the poster sheets and head back to my desk. "Ok, let's get to work!"

Lucy looks at me. "You do all the work and I color?" I nod and she nods back.

After school, I walked back home with my bag in one hand and my phone in the other.

"Maybe I should come over to Emmy's." I mutter, her house was block away and I didn't really have any homework, thankfully. I'm going.

Walking a bit faster, I reach her house and I knock.

"It's Cheyanne! I knew she would come!"

I laugh and a couple seconds later the door opens. "Hi." "Hey." Emmy pulls me inside and grins. "Take off your shoes and meet me upstairs." I nod as I take off my shoes and Emmy rushes upstairs.
