"Alright I'm in the car so talk."  I say as I put on my seat belt.

"I was yelling at you because I couldn't picture anything bad happening to you. Well I could but I just didn't want to."

"But you were FOLLOWING ME! You of all people should've known I was safe."

"You're right. I should've but I wanted to make sure you were with me. Cause at least when you're with me I can protect you."

"That's really sweet and all but this is only the second time that we actually hung out together if you count our encounter at Chipotle. Why would you want to protect me so badly if you don't even know me?"

Jackson shuts off the engine and we finally reach my house. Jackson walks me to my door. We both knew that we shouldn't hang out after that little Starbucks incident.

"Actually Sam this is our third time."

"No it isn't. Cause there was Chipotle when we first met and now today. That's only twice."

"You're missing a day." Jackson says as he walks closer to me and holds both of my hands staring at my wrists.

"Well then you tell me when the other time was."

He takes his eyes off of my wrists and stares directly in my eyes.

"At the masquerade thing the other night."

CRAP! I think Jackson found out. I have 2 options here. I can either admit to him it was me or I can play dumb and hope he gives up... I prefer the second choice.

"What masquerade thing? I've been unpacking lately and me and Bree barely had time to go shopping."

"Sam I know it was you." His eyes are searching mine. Trying to find something, anything that will give my whole act up.

"I'm sorry Jackson but I don't know - "

"Sam." Jackson gets a firmer grip on my wrists and starts playing with my bracelets. He pulls one and it snaps back on my wrist. I look down to see which one he pulled.

"At the masquerade thing I danced with the most gorgeous girl I've ever laid eyes on and just like that she disappears from me. I don't even know her name but she knows mine. After she left I ran out the hotel looking for her but I couldn't see anything. My Cinderella was gone and didn't leave a thing behind but her impression on me."

At this point Jackson is staring right at me. It feels like he's staring at my soul and I can feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"That night I laid in bed and thought about her. The only thing I could see were her eyes and how breath-taking they were. I remember when she pulled away from me I noticed her bracelet. It didn't go with all the other fancy jewelry she had on and that made it stand out to me that much more. It looked a lot like the one you have on right now."

He looks back down at my wrist and plays with my beaded bracelet I got in 8th grade. He looks back at me and I'm lost for words. There is no way I can make up an explanation about that. He then drops my hands and reaches for my face. He takes my glasses off and leans down to my face. With both his hands cupping my face and my glasses in his possession he looks deep in my eyes with his dreamy brown ones and whispers against my lips,

"It's you. You're my Cinderella."

Before he can go in and kiss me Bree opens the door and I'm not quite sure how to feel about it. Should I thank her for saving me or should I be pissed that she ruined what almost was our first kissed?

Bree pulls me through the door and slams it shut on a very confused looking Jackson. Poor guy has no idea what just happened. Bree then notices that he has my glasses still and opens the door just to grab my glasses out of his hands and slam it shut once again on his face. She gets my phone out of my pocket and sends a quick message to him.

"Bree is on her monthly and is a total bitch right now. It'd be best for everybody if you just left we'll talk later."

Jackson doesn't even respond. The last that me and Bree hear is his door closing and him driving down the road.
