I Don't Need Anyone In My Life

Will POV

Will watched as his dad healed Nico, and after what seemed like forever, a bit of Nectar and Ambrosia, and patience, Nico woke up.

"W-What. W-Where am I. Will?!? No, no, no, I need to leave. NO LEAVE ME ALONE. GO LEAVE. NO." Nico started panicking again.

"Nico, its Rachel, are you okay? Calm down, calm down." Rachel had a softness to her voice that made you forget how annoying she usually was. (I put that one in for you, Rachel)

"No, no."

"Neeks, what made you think it's impossible for people to care for you. That's simply not true."

"well...listen to bad side...bad...right." Nico whispered so softly, Will could only make out those few words.

"Neeks?"

"B-Beacause no one w-wants you when y-you have n-no heart, and, n-now I'm sitting pretty in m-my brand new scars," Nico pointed to the still bleeding cut on his wrist.

"W-Was that a Panic! reference?" Will asked, stifling a small laugh, while crying at the same time.

"Maybe" Nico muttered. "But it's true!"

"No it's not, Nico, and you know that."

Nico whispered to himself again, making sure it wasn't audible at all this time.

"No! It's not true! Stop playing! I'm- I just- JUST LEAVE ME ALONE THIS TIME, I DON'T NEED ANYONE TO LOVE ME, THIS WOULD'VE NEVER HAPPENED IF YOU DIDN'T CHASE ME OUT OF ITALY. JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE. I MEAN IT THIS TIME." Nico shadow travelled away again, he had slipped out of my grasp again. And he didn't want me to come back. Ever again.

"W-Will, I-I'm sorry. It's not your fault thought, if that's what you're worried about. None of this was your fault." Rachel reassured. And Will believed her. But that didn't stop him from crying or missing Nico any less. Apollo brought Will back to camp, then went back to Italy to gather campers.

At the campfire that night, Will had updated the camp about Nico, crying while telling the story. People had started dropping cards and reassuring notes at the Hades cabin, still waiting for Nico's return.
