Keith- "I'm telling you she's not a witch"

Royal Guard-"I'm sorry Prince Keith but it was your fathers orders to kill her because she's a witch"

Keith-"Well shes not so I order to stop"

Royal Guard-"Again I'm sorry your highness, but I take orders from your father"

Keith-"Well then replace her with me"

Royal Guard-"W-what...I'm s-sor"

King-"Well well well...Keith my son...are you protecting a witch"

Keith-"Yes I am father"

King-"Well then William change of plans. Drown my son and hang the witch"

Royal Guard-"B-but sir"

King-"He's protecting a witch, an act of treason...so I say we kill him for disobeying his own father and his country"

Royal Guard-"Yes sir"

~time skip~

Keith's P.O.V

After that whole talk between my father, William and myself William knocked me out so I wouldn't put up a struggle. I finally woke and we were at the Sagres Cliff, the highest cliff in Hyra. My whole body felt heavy especially my arms. I then looked down and I was attached to weight.

Royal Guard-"I'm sorry Keith"

I didn't take his words lightly for I knew he didn't want to do this. But what confused me the most was why my crown was still atop my head. 'Maybe my father will say something like I ran away with the crown to prove my royalty. Or that I was murdered and my killer took the crown for money.' I wouldn't be surprised if he made up an excuse on why his son went 'missing'. That sounds exactly like what he would do.

I was then thrown off of that large cliff, I could sense the hesitation William held. The rushing of the wind felt great. It felt like I was falling for forever,

'Be free my child just like the mermaids are swimming free'

Why was that coming to mind now. That was the last thing she said to me before I lost her for forever. My mother had said that often to me, but on the day she was murdered she said that exact line before she ran away and died. She was killed by Zarkon and his son Lotor, they are the most wanted pirates. They're part of a group of pirates that call themselves the Galra. It's all my fathers fault shes dead. She ran away because father said he was to kill her for being crazy because she believed in the supernatural. He walked in on her telling me a story when I was five about mermaids and how they were real. I remember the story very clearly. It entailed that when someone dies in the ocean they would be reborn as a mermaid.

*Splash*

Well looks like I finally hit the water. It hurt like hell falling hundreds of feet into the water. I knew that my bones were broken. But that doesn't matter at the moment, I'll just relax and suffer through my punishment of drowning. Maybe I'll become a mermaid.

Lance P.O.V

I was swimming around when all of a sudden something heavy broke through the water surface. It startled me so I hid behind a big rock. As soon as it hit the ocean floor I went to investigate whatever it was. As I got closer I realized (don't know if I spelled that right) that it was a human.'Great he has a mullet' I thought to myself. *Sigh* "This is another reason to hate humans, they throw their own people off of a cliff and throw their lives away". I know that there are some humans that mean no harm but it's still hard to trust them. Especially when they're the reason why I'm separated from my family. Well except my sister Allura. I felt bad for the person before me so I decided to stay and wait by his side so he's not so confused on why he's half fish. I wonder what will go through his head when he wakes up, especially since he's not human anymore, at least not half human. Its weird why does he look so familiar.

Keith P.O.V

I could feel myself breathing. How am I breathing though? All that was going through my head was 'how I though i was dead, but I can breath'. I slowly started to open my eyes. Everything was a clear-blue color. Well except for the rocks and sand. "Where am I? It feels like I've been asleep for forever too. " I asked to what I though was nobody. "You're in the ocean sweetheart. And you have I guess you died from drowning five days ago. So you've been asleep for four days". I looked at the figure he looked human but he had a tail.

Keith-"W-who are you? And what are you?"

Lance-"Are you that dumb mullet head I'm obviously a mermaid. Haven't you heard of them? Oh and the names Lance, Lance McClain"

Keith-"Did you just call me mullet head"

Lance-"Who else would have said it if it's just me and you here"

Keith-"I must still be dreaming. Mermaids aren't real.

Lance-"Well you'll have to believe it at some point. And if you don't like the word mermaid use Altean.

Keith-"I still don't believe you mermaids are just part of fairy tales. And whats an Altean"

Lance-"Well you will have to believe soon because well...look down sweetheart.Oh and an Altean"

Keith-"Stop with the pet names"

By Lance calling Keith by pet names it has made him quiet flustered and Lance found this cute.'Damn even though he has a mullet it suits him, and its somehow making him cuter'. Lance thought to himself

Keith was staring at Lance then he remembered that Lance told him to look down.He did as told and looked down. Keith was greeted by a bright red tail.

Lance-"Oh and an Altean? Well its kinda a long explanation but we have time.Lets see, well the ocean is separated into regions. And per each region is a different race. Our race is the Altean because we take place in the city of Altea. My sister is the princess Allura of Altea which would make me prince. Oh, and you are also Altean because when you broke the surface of the water you landed just outside the gates of the city. Since I answered your question now answer mine. Whats with the crown?"

I'm going to end this here. Sorry if this sucked and sorry if there is any grammatical errors. This is my first book and I love the mermaid AU's and the prince ones as well so I decided to put them together.
