A/N I know I said I would update sooner but failed at that... sorry I'll try to get another chapter out as soon as I can

Shiro's P.O.V

I enter the castle and see that Allura seems quiet happy, wondering what was going on I went over to her. "Princess did something happen" she was too out of it to notice me. "Allura...ALLURA!!". She finally noticed my presence.

Allura-"Huh...Oh Shiro your back. Wait how long have you been standing here."

Shiro-"Not that long but did something happen. You seem way more happier than before I left."

Allura-"While you were gone Lance came back...and he brought a new mermaid. He was wearing a crown so that means he's of royalty so he is also now the Prince of Altea. And I think Lance has a massive crush on him."

Shiro-"That's good, Lance came back everyone was starting to worry. And a new mermaid I wonder if I know him."

I continued to talk to Allura for awhile, I was only thinking about the new mermaid. I hate it when we get new mermaids, not because I don't like them but because I hate knowing that they had to go threw a horrible death just to get here. I know the pain of it. I wasn't born a mermaid, in fact I came from the land that is directly above these waters.Hyra. I was very close with the prince. How I ended up down here well...his mother, Prince Keith's mother to be exact. She told these stories...well I thought them to be stories at the time, about what lived in the seas,mermaids. Since I was close the Keith I was at the castle quite often. His mother would tell stories about the ocean...even though I was older than Keith by a considerable amount I still believed them. Keith never really liked his father, I wouldn't blame him. It felt like his only goal was to hurt Keith. One day his father was going around the castle and listened into a conversation that Keith and I were having about mermaids. His father called me a heretic for being against the teachings and believing in such trival things. I kept believing in them and one day I was ordered to be killed, Keith didn't know about it until after it happened. I remember going up to the surface by the shore and seeing Keith and his mother there. They were just looking at the reflection the sun made against the water. I went up there every day till one day they came...the Galra. They killed Keith's mother and they just left her there, not long after I heard Keith screaming her name. He was the one that found her. Since she loved the ocean they decided to throw her into the ocean as her final resting place. I remember seeing her float down to the bottom of the ocean right in front of the castle. I called Pidge that day and asked if there was any way to bring her back to life but as a mermaid. There was a way and I made it happen. I went to a cave far away from Altea...according to Pidge that's where Thace and some other Galra live. She also told me not to worry because they mean no harm and are actually against the Galra themselves. Thace somehow turned Keith's mother into a mermaid, when she woke up she wasn't surprised she just kept on saying I knew it. She lives in Altea, I'm glad that she was able to live as something she always loved. She can finally say that mermaids are real and exist in the waters from one side of the world to the other.

Allura saw that I wasn't listening to her and was thinking about something else.

Allura-"Shiro...are you thinking about the new mermaid."

Shiro-"Huh...uh yeah I am."

Allura-"Well you'll get to meet him later. So will Hunk and Pidge."

She then swam off to somewhere. Since she said Lance came back I think I'll go up to his room and check up on him. As I'm heading up to his room I see that he's coming out of it. I call to him and he looks up surprised to see me. He swam up as fast as he could to me and seemed very excited.

Lance-"Shiro guess what... we have a new mermaid and he's really I mean really hot."

He seems surprised at his statement and covers his mouth blushing.

Shiro- "I know your sister told me...so if this new mermaid is hot do you think I will have a chance with him."

I enjoy Lances expression, he looks dumbfounded.

Lance-"N-no he's m-mine...I call dibs."

Shiro- " It's not nice to think of people as items...but okay I guess you cam have him."

Lance- " I was just about to go down and see if he lasted through Coran's talking want to come."

"Sure" was all I said before following Lance.

When we get to the main room we don't have to venture any further because they were in the main room. All I see is Coran talking about how young love is adorable and Keith face palming. Wait...KEITH. I was surprised to see who was in front of me. My childhood friend.

Lance-"Keith... come here I want to introduce you to someone."

Keith get up and is surprised to see me

Lance- " This is-"

Keith- "SHIRO."

Keith runs into my chest giving me a breath taking hug. He started to cry. I looked over at Lance and he looked jealous.

Keith's P.O.V

I see Shiro and run into his chest giving him a tight embrace and started crying. "I thought you were dead." As I continued to cry Lance speaks up.

Lance-" I've never seen someone so excited to see Shiro. Are you guy like long lost lovers or something."

I could sense the jealousy in his tone of voice. I started to laugh at his statement and Shiro follows suite.

Lance- "W-why are you guys laughing it's n-not funny!"

Shiro and Keith- "Me and him being lovers...that's basically incest right there."

Lance- "What."

Keith- "Shiro is like my older brother even though were not blood related I still will never see him as anything more."

Shiro-"Same goes for me."

After Shiro and I say that Lance looks relieved and whispers "good I still have a chance." I know what he's talking about and blush. He was confused at this because he thought no one heard him. He then noticed that I heard him and blushed furiously and left.
