Still Keith's P.O.V

Lance-"What's with the crown"

I completely forgot about my crown. I would have assumed that it fell off on the way down on when I hit the water.

Keith-"The crown. As are you, I am a prince. Well I was a prince. The prince of Hyra. I was thrown off of the highest cliff, which is directly above us. With weights tied to my arms so I wouldn't be able to swim to the surface.

Lance-"I'm so sorry...but why would they do that to their own prince".

Keith-"I was protecting someone. The people didn't get a say. I don't even think that they knew that I was killed. My father the king ordered William, the royal guard to throw me off the cliff. I don't blame him, if he didn't do it and my father found out he would have met the same fate that I did or worse".

Every time I would look away from the mermaid/altean named Lance I couldn't help but look back towards him. I was trapped within his gaze. His eyes a beautiful ocean blue just like his tail. What am I thinking I can't fall for him, I just met him and besides I wouldn't want to hurt him. Or it'll go the other way and i'll get to attached and will be brushed aside and ignored once he gets bored of me. I shake my head to make all the thoughts disappear. This confused Lance.

Lance-"Are you even listening."

Shit I didn't even know that he was speaking

Keith-"Yeah I was definitely listening."

Lance-"OK?... well you're still probably tired we should go to the castle. Or maybe sleep could wait awhile. I feel like you're gonna love my friends Hunk, Pidge and Shiro. And also considering the mullet I'm gonna assume that you don't have any friends".

Keith-"..."

Lance-"I'll take the silence as a 'I'm right' kinda thing".

~time skip~

Lance P.O.V

Bringing Keith through the city of Altea Keith seemed amazed. I've noticed that when he gets excited he has a slight blush on his face, and I thought it was cute. Going towards the center of the city a lot of people marveled at the new addition to the race. Keith noticed everyone's stares and became flustered, which was even more cute.

I opened the doors to the castle and escorted Keith in. My sister Allura was leading officials out the door. She didn't notice me till she turned around."LANCE!!!!!". She hugged me to where I couldn't breathe."Where have you been for the past five days". She then moved her eyes towards Keith."Who's he"

Lance-"The Prince of Hyra. His name is Keith.".

Allura-"If he's the prince then why is he down here?"

Keith-"I was thrown off of a cliff for protecting a person who I deemed close. My father said that she was a witch and was going to hang her. I told him no, so therefore he drowned me and no I'm a mermaid that landed outside of your cities gates. So now I'm an Altean".

Allura-"Not only are you just an Altean. You're royalty that landed in the premises of Altea".

Keith & Lance-"I don't get what you're trying to get at. Hey don't copy me. I said don't".

Allura-"*snickers* Coran if you've been awfully quite about this whole new arrival if you would like you could explain the situation".

Coran-" Of course Princess. Seeing that Keith was the prince of Hyra. We will need to replace his crown with one of Altea's crowns. Because as of now Keith will be known as the second prince of Altea...get it".

I look over at Keith and his mouth is wide open. I slowly close his mouth and Allura looks at me with a suggestive glint in her eyes. So now Keith will live in the castle...well that was my plan anyways but it will be actually be happening. Wait why am I excited about this... why is Keith making me excited. Come on stop thinking he has a mullet that is unexceptional. But it does look good on him.

Allura-"Earth to Lance...never mind Coran can you give a tour of the castle to Keith then lead him to his room. Lance your staying here".

Coran-"Of course Allura".

I watch Keith and Coran walk away. And wonder why I feel sad that I'm not the one giving Keith a tour...or is this jealousy... Jealous of Coran!!!No way. I look away and  y eyes land on Allura. There's that look again. The one with a suggestive glint. Is she waiting for me to say something?

Allura-"You ~love~ him don't you"

Lance-"W-what n-no. Why would I l-love him he has a mullet".

Allura looks disappointed for some reason

Allura-"Don't lie to me...remember I'll find out sooner or later so tell me now".

Lance-"Fine I-I do. For some reason. But I just met him and...and I don't know".

Allura-"Who cares if you just met. By the way he looks at you I think it's safe to say that he feels the same".

Lance-"I don't know Allura. He said that the person that he was protecting was a girl and that he 'deemed' close".

Allura-"*sigh* What happened to my go getting younger brother".

Keith's P.O.V
(This takes place when Coran is giving him a tour)

I'm following Coran around the castle dazed. It was weird why am I thinking about Lance right now. I've noticed that Coran has looked at me with a weird expression. It kinda looks like he's trying to read me.

Coran- "So Keith, do you by any chance love Lance".

I looked at him with a dumbfounded expression on my face. Is this what this feeling is love? And if it was would it really matter I know he wouldn't feel the same. Should I tell Coran.

Keith- "Maybe... I don't really know".
